Are thoose close up shots, zoomed in versions of the wide view, (in editing) or are they a separate shot?

I going to say separate shot, They could of filmed in 4k plus and zoomed but I highly doubt it.

With 4k you are able to zoom in and still get crisp quality. That is why they scale it down to fit the 1080 and look that much better

The coastal crew don't shoot in 4k I don't think, thought they shot with 5dmark3's and FS700's.

That and also in the last video, those bar drag shots were some of the most impressive I've ever seen. His movements to get into that position were sooooo sick.

After watching tons of amateur edits which are usually pretty freakin good, and then watching horsepower for about the 4th time, I was like "so this is why we have professional riders." Killer effortless tricks and awesome shots! Congrats to all the videos of the month, they were all fantastic!

For some reason, horsepower just really didn't blow my mind the way I thought it would. Yes, spectacular riding and huge tricks, but it seems to be the same thing everyone else is doing.

I agree with you. Double trucks dont really do it for me after Matt MacDuff did the quad. Still very impressive and i still suck.

These sure are good videos, filmed on video cameras that are used for electronic motion picture acquisition, initially developed by the television industry but now common in other applications as well.

IMHO, horsepower has excellent videography. The backdrop and camera angles are awesome, the use of slowmo's tasteful as well.

Rheeder is becoming one of my favorite riders!! joining about 5 others already on the list... Freeride and dirt jumping both he's just good!... on another note, dumb question but I'm serious, how much air time do u need for a backflip on a freeride bike? I've done it into an airbag and pool on a smaller bike but more suspension I know is harder...
