I feel like Fox was all, "Hey! We're all at Sea Otter, let's go film a 'commercial' to introduce our 'ladies gear' for 2015 and we'll throw it on the Internets and we'll win!"
First of all, WTF is with the t-shirts with low v-necks for riding? Secondly, I don't think a more low-key video intro to a 'revamped' (in fox's words) womens line could have possibly been created. A lot of the clothing companies I'm seeing this year (with a few exceptions) seem to be more far more focused on the newest demographic of female riders (beginning and low-intermediate riders) than providing a broad range of female-specific items that speak to women of all skill levels with technical features rivaling the mens'.
Clearly, we still have to pound it into SOMEONE'S head that the majority of accessory shopping (aka, additional kits for men AND women) in the household is still done by a woman. The numbers show that dudes purchase additional tools while women tend to represent most in the large purchase (complete bikes) and clothing categories. Having been at sea otter and being able to look at the gear for this year and next for women, I'm still extremely disappointed at the lack of realistic offerings.
There is quite a few Euro brands, lots of Germans, that are doing a really good job at women clothing and for all demographic. They unfortunately do not seem to be available in the US as of yet which is a shame.
@ambatt don't worry, we will have long shorts, long sleeves jersey when all the women that have crashed while they were wearing this type of gear will want to hide their scars !
@ambatt... I'm sure someone somewhere in the development cycle of the clothing thought to himself "low v neck = better air scoop for cooling the boobies that I secretly want to stare at more often"
I hope Fox made some better/durable women's shorts. The last three Fox Women's shorts that I've bought have torn in less than 6 months, when I buy Fox Men's shorts they last for years.
Did you just call these ladies "broads"? I wasn't commenting on anything other than the shorts there guy, don't get all bent outta shape. we race in the same class and that's all I'm gonna say to your silly remark.
