Once again Retallack Lodge is proud to announce the release of our summer 2013 mountain biking schedule. Trail crews are out, new lines are being built, and the excitement is building for our 3rd year of professionally guided MTB vacations. No crowds, Tacky fresh dirt, all inclusive destination, the best trails anywhere.

2013 is the year to be here. Retallack has made a huge commitment to ramping up the backcountry mountain biking experience for everyone. With Retallack’s professionally guided backcountry packages, guests will be able to access winding single-track descents of up to 5,000 vertical feet via a combination of off-road vehicles and helicopters. Our network of trails are located in the Selkirk Mountains of the West Kootenays and are dispersed over an approximate area of 5,900 square kilometers (1,458,000 acres) – all waiting for your two-wheeled enjoyment. Gourmet food and luxury accommodation is provided at Retallack’s 11,000 sq ft lodge – located in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains, and is accessible by car approximately one hour north of Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.

Beautiful singletrack runs through alpine meadows and along ridge-tops to make their way to the valley floors and lakes below. This season we'll be opening up more terrain and our legendary trail "Kessel" will see a handful of additions and improvements. The skills park gets a makeover as well as a dual slalom course and an intrinsic network of skill building lines right outside the main lodge.

We wouldn't leave "Powerslave" out of the equation either. It has become an iconic and world renown line that heli drops the largest peak in the Nelson area and descends almost 6000' and it will see a lot of improvements. If that is even possible to improve such an epic line.
