If I see anyone doing that on a ski hill I will chase them down and break their fucking legs. There is no reason to put other people at risk like that for your own adrenaline. Risk your own body not others, fuck those guys.
If I couldn't catch up to them on the ski hill I would wait for them in the parking lot with my truck. No video has pissed me off as much as that one. Absolute bullshit.
Tek-8 I hate to say it but these guys know what they're doing. If they can double i feel like they can probably dodge some slow lift traffic. If they thought there was a possibility of someone getting hurt (other than themselves) they probably wouldn't have done half that stuff. I would let these guys rage by me any day. You go Candide... you go...
No way, they are totally putting other people at risk. Sure they are very skilled, but don't pull that shit around other people. Pro's fall all the time. How do they know how those people are going to react, some new person on a skis might react differently and then there's a collision. Then what, you break someones leg because you thought what you were doing is fun. I don't care how good you are or think you are, that slalom bullshit through the T-bar traffic is uncalled for.
I guarantee ski patrol would freak out and be as pissed or more so than I am.
Tek-8, I'm going to have to agree with snowboardah on this one. I'm a pretty dandy skiier if I do say so myself, and though I don't weave in and out of people like that, I know that those guys are smart enough to know their limits. I would gladly watch them weave infront of me.
I agree with Tek-8. No matter how good you think you are your still human and can and will make a mistake. this is why they will close down your spots also. wouldn't be surprised to see a fence all the way up that lift soon. irresponsible to say the least.
funny how you guys think their that good, good enough to risk others lives. go back and watch in slow mo they are clipping people, at that speed how do you think those people ended up, to bad there wasn't a vid of the after math. think these guys would actually stop for someone they did hit, nope they would run like cowards.
Trek-8 and the rest of the Internet world, calm down... You do realize this is all staged? Did you fall for the Jeff Gordon pepsi commercial as well? The video was was uploaded on YouTube by Quiksilver. You know Quiksilver, a large company that has probably X number of lawyers on staff protecting their liabilities and interest. Do you fools think this was done with one run? Funny how all the people and police car were lined up perfect under each kicker. Go ride your bike, because these videos seem too stimulating for some people.
Spoiler alert, the new Iron Man movie isn't reality. Just want to prevent any freak outs... I wouldn't want anyone waiting in their truck to break Robert Downey Jr's leg.
Thanks for the positive comments dietime! I would love to live at my parents, I could dump this mortgage and buy more bikes/skis. I could then dump the job to have more time with my new bikes and skis... Win win! Plus my parents are good people, so another win on the scoreboard.
I believe the word you were looking for is I not a, both difficult to spell and can be confused on a keyboard... The real fool(s) is the person who can not spell and to the people who ignore logic. Again, the video was posted by Quiksilver, and it is known that this took place at Candid's home mountain, La Clusaz. Both of these companies are sponsors of the athlete. I know it is hard to understand, but no organization would allow their employees (sponsored athletes) to bring about liability exposures without clearing the video/marketing ad/article through a legal team. And they sure as hell wouldn't promote the video, which is the case in this scenario.
I know thinking hurts, but try it sometime dietime, you might not look like a fool...
didn't relize the grammer police were in town, im sure yove never misspelled anything. your the one walking in to this conversation throwin around the fool word at everybody, to me makes you look like the fool and don't really care what anyone else thinks either,oh and by the way through in some more misspelled words for ya. maybe you could get out your red pen and grade my spelling.
That skier should go to jail. I would never be able to sleep at night if I put peoples lives at risk for my own enjoyment. As a skier, that video was frighting, and not in a good way. I really hope that was a staged Quicksilver commercial at a closed resort.
Despite being kinda stuck up about it, he does have a point. If the skiiers had fucked up at the part where they weave thruogh the lift, and innocent person could have ended up with a life-ruining injury.
movie for your monday right there! now you want the weekend to come even faster!!
