It's been awhile since we've seen Brook MacDonald on slalom bike. The ex Junior World DH Champ rode his 26" GT hardtail like a champ all evening and was charging until he folded a tire heading up a double and ejected in a spectacular way.

Cody Kelley had a great evening on his new Yeti. if you look closely, you may spot something special about his helmet...
The view from the top. One of the coolest things about the Sea Otter DS track is that you can see the whole thing from anywhere alongside the track. As in Bubba Warren eking out a win early in the afternoon.
Caroline Buchanan is ready for Rio and it shows. The horsepower she was pulling out of the gate was unmatched.
Round one upset: 14-year-old Joe Foresta taking out Bryn Atkinson.

With the starts and stripes and red bull helmet I thought Jill was Gwin. She's a badass lady! Also dual slalom seems like such a great spectator sport, beginners could start racing for a lot less than DH/enduro, you don't need a steep mountain to race on and did I mention it's awesome to watch!
Specialized enduro sx (26" alloy) as used for the last 3 years. Sea otter Slalom is the only race where old technology is faster. Even Jills bike looks to be running 26" wheels??
