To be able to compete in the team overall I think a team should be required to have a womens rider on the roster, it would be a great way to get some of these fast ladies the factory ride they deserve
(Aug 12, 2019 at 10:54)
Absolutely. If you ask me, juniors should be added to the mix, too. And the team standings have to be more pronounced.
(Aug 12, 2019 at 11:45)
Unbelievable that there’s three women in the top ten without a factory ride right?
(Aug 12, 2019 at 15:11)
Yeah, but then again SC does seem to provide Nina with a good bit of support. I wouldn't be surprised if they'll give her full support next year. The whole issue with them (and Giant) is that they've chosen to market their female line up of bikes under a different brand name. Santa Cruz did have the Luna Chicks back in the days (and Juliana was just the name of the womens version of their Superlight XC fully) but now the name has gone its own way. If they insist on sticking with that, the SC Syndicate will be a men only and at best, they'll start a Juliana Syndicate team.

theres not enough depth of talent in the womens category for each team to sponsor a woman
(Aug 12, 2019 at 21:18)
YT need to get their act together and sign up Holl and Trummer for next year asap
(Aug 12, 2019 at 23:39)
: Doesn't Veronika Widmann also ride a YT Tues? She has always been doing well but this season she really shines. Not sure if she's currently getting any support from YT. It doesn't appear like she does, considering the frame paint job.
(Aug 13, 2019 at 0:55)
: she rides Insync brand
(Aug 13, 2019 at 1:52)
If all the women are gonna get factory support I'm pulling a Kate Weatherly
(Aug 14, 2019 at 2:04)
: Thanks. Just looked the brand up. They call her Veronica Wiedmann (this is their sponsored athlete, national champion etc mind you) and even though it quite closely resembles a YT Tues, Harry Molloy has apparently said that they've had a lot of influence on the bike design. A (big) part of me thinks this is a bit like the Athertons riding Muddy Fox bikes.

Eddie still top 20 with missing two races... EWS and World cup sort yourselves out so this multi discipline riders can compete in the overall of both
(Aug 12, 2019 at 9:29)
Soo are the frenchies still friends or is it competition time at Snowshoe. I'll be there not caring, hopefully Neko or Luca get a big result seeing were all 5 hour drive from there.
(Aug 12, 2019 at 16:49)
It really sucks that Snowshoe is shutting the entire mountain down for a while to do this race. They could at least leave the basin side open.
(Aug 13, 2019 at 5:46)
: XC will be on the Basin side, we will be up there the weekend before as well
(Aug 13, 2019 at 10:20)
: agreed. all that driving and no chance to ride the mountain... cmon Showshoe!
(Aug 13, 2019 at 10:23)
Ya that does kind of smell but it was the same at Windham. You know some goon would pooch onto the course mid race and mess everything up.
(Aug 13, 2019 at 12:44)
: The line would be insane anyway. So shit you wouldn't even be able to hit Enchanted Forrest or any of those trails either?
(Aug 12, 2019 at 11:54)
Troy Brosnan might as well hang it all out at Snowshoe, Hart would have to have a big day to move ahead of him and if Pierron or Bruni have big issues he could still get 2nd or win the overall. Either way ill be there to see what happens!
(Aug 12, 2019 at 9:05)
So as long as Bruni has a top 5 finish in Snowshoe he wraps up the overall, right?
(Aug 12, 2019 at 12:29)
Amaury has to beat the 90 pt spread that Loic has on him. So Amaury has to beat Bruni, regardless of position, as long as Loic is sitting in a position (further down) that will not give Amaury the 90 pts more than him in the end.

3 Canadians in the top 5 in Junior Men. Nice work guys.

I ran into Seth Sherlock this morning on Whistler, where he was riding with a group of friends. I was like, "Are you Seth Sherlock?" (He had his name on his jersey) "Didn't you just win Lenzerheide? Let me extend my greatest congratulations etc". He was very gracious about it.
