Welcome to the first episode of a new 3 part series, where we follow a Scott athlete along as they make their way through a typical day at Crankworx. Kicking off the series is the UK's style master Brendan Fairclough at Crankworx Rotorua. Brendog, a man with many skills, only requires one bike to do it all. So watch along as he gets amongst it on the Slope course, has a dabble on the luge track, and goes for it in the DH. He even signs an autograph or two for the kids.
Got (very) briefly chatting to him when i was ridding over Surrey Hills (his local), totally agree with him being down to earth, he even took some biking advice from me (though it was only about bike racks)
That really put the scale of the slope style course into perspective. When they're flipping and twisting every direction it kind of distracts from how big and steep those jumps are...
I got my riding fix yesterday, so today I was feeling pretty mellow...now I just wana go ride again...damn work! Also, I really want Brendog to start getting the big titles he is more than capable of achieving, but even without doing so, I think he does so much for his sponsors...hard to find a bigger peoples favourite on the circuit. Star.
This is the reason why Brendog is my favorite rider. He's down to earth, talented and always bringing positivity to the sport. He may have had a bad run with his chain breaking but it didn't get the best of him. He's a true sportsman.
Style for miles!! I wish Brendog would get Sam Ren and Olly Wilkins together for a mini series of adventures throughout the season, im sure Monster energy would sort that one out!!
Love being able to ride the same trails as him most weekends in the off season and occasionally bumping into him at peaslake village stores. Such a quality guy
Thanks Pinkbike and Red Bull for such sick coverage of Roturua
I think he is the most popular biker in the world!!
Anyone knows the name of the song at the whip-off moment please ?
