I really like Santa Cruz. I just don’t think they are a great value for the money and I wouldn’t notice any difference in ride quality compared to a better value bike.

@PtDiddy: try to take propain xD and you'll see difference (as minimum - colour quality, cheap bearings, soft carbon (yea yea even sounds weard). I ownd both bikes and can say that I want my santa back.

@YakuT: I'm happy about my Propain Tyee, much happier on it than the previous SB150 I rode. Geo is spot on, pedals like a dream and the frame is 800gr. lighter than SB150. I like the flexy" rear end because is less fatiguing and provides more traction.

@YakuT: Dude, I’m in the Marin category. I’ve had Specialized, Santa Cruz, Trek, Mondraker. Then I got a rift zone and it road the same.

I know I’m a basic average rider and I can’t tell the difference on a lot things people swore I would. Components are a different story. I do like some of the higher end parts.

I pay attention to the frame geo and as long as the brand is reputable I’m happy.

@psyfi: that’s what’s up. Every rider should think their bike is the best bike ever, whatever they ride on.

They should make a carbon balance bike and call it the "Jackson" to cater for future dentists. ( That's not ripping on SC, they make rad bikes with great customer service)

@PtDiddy: over the years I’ve owned specialized , whyte , canyon , SC , kona , Nukeproof and Evil bikes
hands down SC have been the best quality, spares availability , support , customer service and choice
Yes they are more expensive but you pay for what you get ,

The worst was Nukeproof , cheaply made , frame paint delaminated and the worst customer service ever (hotlines)

Now riding my 3 week old ‘23 SC 5010 which cost £3700 new , my second SC bike and no I’m not a dentist……

What happened to Lyle? Greg gets a new mechanic after all those punctures.

Looks like he's still with the team working logistics. I noticed how upset Greg was with rolling his tire off at worlds and remember him saying that it was something that shouldn't have happened, next race, new mechanic.

I have never been a huge fan of SC but that bike is an icon !
