Now Finished: Ask Me Anything with Trauma & Orthopaedic Doctor Henry Turner
Hi Dr Turner , about 23 years ago while riding mx I had around 13 concussions in the space of 3 months and ended up having head and neck X-ray ‘s and a CT scan , luckily I was ok , my question is other than having slight aching in my neck all the time since then do you think that my brain would have any long term effects? Since that time I have been knocked out by crashing while riding my MTB around 3 times , the last was last summer.... I would wear a neck brace but not any good width a non full face helmet!

Field Test: Kona Process 153 CR/DL 29
For what it’s worth I’ve recently changed to a 2018 153 CR size large having ridden a medium Bronson cc for the last four years. The differences? The process is heavier by about 2lb but It rides better , rear end sits higher in the stroke , is so much more stable and confident to ride than the Bronson ever was , on average I rode the Bronson twice a week maybe more for four years from Surrey to Scotland and Wales, it had a ton of use but was twitchy and unstable even with a topaz and lyrik fitted and 30mm rims and 2.4 tyres. To be honest I would not go back to a SC, the process climbs better and descends miles better , I’ve fitted a scre together hope bb for reliability and carbon bars and cranks but when riding the weight difference feeling is marginal, if anything the Bronson felt too light if that makes sense, feel free to ask any questions!

Dissecting Specialized's Move to Öhlins Suspension
I have ridden trials , motocross and Enduro moto events competitively for 30 years at national expert level and in all my years involved in off road racing there has never been a better suspension product than ohlins.......period. To have them enter the mtb world is a great thing , while I love my pike fork and RC3 shock I would say that what ohlins will produce will be far superior, fox and rockshox and others better start worrying.... Just giving my opinion , if anyone doesn't like , tuff , grow up.... And yes rider in the pic is Swede Hakan Carlqvist 250cc and 500cc world champ back in the day , one of the toughest riders in motocross ever.

Santa Cruz Bronson: Review
I bought a 2015 cc frameset a year ago and built it to my own spec. hope hubs with spank rims , full X01 drivetraian with hope cranks , KS dropper , hope tech3 brakes , renthal carbon bars. pike rt3 solo air 160 fork , monarch + rc3 shock. I just wanted to build a bike how I wanted, (not take stuff off a bike and replce it), and honestly its the nicest bike i have ever ridden , very fast , climbs very well is very very stable and light , it has a very high high smile/fun factor! compared to my mates 2015 nomad which feels longer and slacker and it noticably harder to ride uphill my bronson has a very balanced neutral feel. after riding a weekend around the brecon beacons in the snow on a CC solo, which is very similar to the bronson i decided to get one straight away. by the way this was coming off the back of riding a Canyon nerve AM for 2 years which was always being repaired...... since owning the bronson and riding it at least twice a week in all conditions , i am in no hurry to change , it actually puts a smile on my face each time i get ready to ride as it is a pure joy to spend my valued spare time on!
