bigquotesWe have had some time off after the first world cup and I used that break to let my finger heal up and get in some good training. We also had a few local races to do so I was able to get some good testing in and time on the DH bike before heading back over to Fort William.Neko Mulally

I used to race alot but the one thing i loved the most was mtn creek thursday race league was so fun and best tracks instead same pro track every year like they usually do for real races ..thursday they changed the track every week wich was so cool

Neko runs one now every Thursday at Kanuga here in NC! It's the same concept where they change the track every week and they also do a lot of fresh cut rake and ride tracks.

That's when Creek was fun! I rather take the drive to Thunder and spend the weekend on non blown-out and super maintenance trails.

things that are great about this series:

-for ppl like me, hearing: ran my tires at 40 psi so i didn't flat, cause then you'ld have to stop.
-authentic feel, not over produced
-the neko/logan interaction is indescribably funny
-did not see a "cribs"
-seeing someone go for it, and having the personality to get all our support

the problem? we need more collin!

Good stuff as always from Neko. Cool to hear him talking through suspension settings to that level of detail. Makes me realize I don’t pay enough attention to my setup

"That one song" is by far their most well known, but only one amongst many of their greats.

Amazing as always, but how can they afford the soundtrack? (GREAT SOUNDTRACK!)

I was wondering this as well. Some of the other frameworks videos have copyrighted music. The videos must not be monetized.

@ndefeo96: my guess is he doesn't monetize them. I think the videos are part of his contract with sponsors so he is compensated for them without Youtube money.

I'm not sure what I expected Neko's trail bike to be, but I don't think I would have guessed it'd be a Specialized Enduro.

His bike park rental fleet is Specialized so personal E-Bike S-Works Kenevo SL, Enduro trail bike, also sponsor components.

 Smashing Buckwheat... sick.

He makes it look flat. That jump up onto the left side bank is otherworldly. That turn is super awkward with a flat rock inside on a tight switchback, being able to get up on that bank opens it so much. But that bank is like 3 feet up above a rocky trail... riding it on Sunday I could not imagine how the hell he gets up there.

@pisgahgnar: For me it's not getting onto the bank, it's *thinking* about getting onto the bank. I'm conditioned to "stay on the trail" so I'm still learning to see those alternate lines. That's something I notice following faster descenders, they often get far off the main line (and off the actual trail) to get a better outside/inside maneuver. I do feel somewhat conflicted about this because it contributes to widening the trail, but luckily most riders are like me and only see the established lines.

The editing is a little funny on this, bc the "local line" on Bennett is mixed into the lower section of Buckwheat, but any chance I get to watch Neko ride trails I know is great.
