I think that white is snow? it's not "touched" by photoshop

I don't like this picture... the colors are sad (that's how we say in french, I hope it means something in english Big Grin )
  • 61
I like it with the decreased saturation. It makes it different. Otherwise it would've been like every other forest shot out there.

 @todtay ... Facepalm

why are nail salons being advertised to pinkbike users on the home page?
  • 260
Cookies personalize the ads for you. You must spend a lot of time looking for nail care products. I'm not judging.

WORST POD EVER I COULD TAKE A WAY BETTER PIC AND I COULD RIDE WAY BETTER
  • 20
I hate this pic because it made me look like an idiot, but it's still a cool shot and is clean. There used to be a time when photographers had to take photos that were untouched and a certain size (aka magazine submissions) to be eligable to get paid for the shot. Now adays you can submit your moms dirty faceshot with 200 layers of photoshop edits and have everyone think the old lady is marilyn monroe. The photo does look like frost on the trees and light snow on the rock where the biker launches his ride. Camera now adays, beatiful photos with the right photographer.

  • 110
some straight up Gnar XC going on there..
  • 23
 Mercedes Benz is the best
  • 35
There's a bear in the background!
  • 31

  • 40
OK! I'm going to ride my bike now. that is a awesome picture.
  • 82
Wow, I haven't seen an xc POD for a LOOONG time
  • 71
If there was a full face helmet, people would call it Freeride. I don't see where that could be XC...but it could be a generalist term for all kind of riding with single crown and open helmet, i don't know.
  • 20
 * I did reply to your comment, but was not directly to you.
  • 21
XC? Really? Well, ya, I, guess so... Fantastic nevertheless! EPIC for me.
  • 51
no shit telmoberg. tell em whats up. ever heard of allmountain riding? where not only do we shred the downhills, but we will kick your ass going up!
  • 40
looks like ' mountain biking " to me Razz
  • 20
AM, for me, looks different to XC.

And yeah, that last sentence on the first post, was pure sarcasm. Wink
  • 10
those forks are definitely all mountain.
  • 50
 +1 for sooke
  • 20
Funny, cause it sorta looks like that for real here on the Island daily. Good old West Coast dankness at it's finest. Good pic, I like it.
  • 40
 Great shot!.
  • 20
yeah looks great with these gloomy colours, with the dead mossy trees and foggy/ dusty background.
  • 41
just looking at this makes me wanna go and shred
  • 31
I sort of agree with Ian not that good of a shot. I think there are a lot of better pics out there.
  • 31
not the best pod. but not the worst. we need a brighter pod to show riding season is here!
  • 20
awesome photo , looks like a few oghers live in there.
  • 34
Dont like this. For an action shot its way too busy, there is to much detail and the attention is completely drawn away from the rider which can sometimes work if the scenery is particularly epic but in this case its not.
  • 11
i think its not good, you dont really see a big difference between the rider and the woods. and ians descristion is really a mess
  • 20
Not my choice for POD, but still a great shot!
  • 20
like the color but not sure is POD worthy
  • 10
EPIC! But black and white is seriously Old, whuy not black and yellow? lol jk. Smile
  • 20
i dot think its worth pod
  • 20
 Mimetic!
  • 32
well i know what im having as my new backround! stunning.
  • 32
It was a simple shot, but in the right place. Great photo. XC honored!
  • 42
 knolly sucks
  • 10
i think that it is sick pic but i think maybe alittle to edited
  • 54
my grandma shoots better POD's :] Definitely Not Worth It
  • 36
Your grandma sucks so hard then, soooooo hard! Definitely POD!
  • 10
pretty cool, rider almost looks super-imposed
  • 10
I like it !!! don't really Give what other people think or say !!!
  • 10
shut up. I'm gonna neg prop myself
  • 10
its most def a cool pic ... but i just dot get why it got POD.
  • 10
the trees just pop out this photo! sweet!
  • 10
why can't things be called Mountain biking anymore? why so many genres?
  • 32
 great xc pod!!!!!!

  • 33
 Awesome POD
  • 1012
worst pod in the history of pods
  • 41
dude dont just say "worst pod in the history of pods" give him some constructive criticism and tell him what to improve on. Smile
  • 20
soz lad,, need some colour preferebly
  • 14
i like it, but we do need more DJ shots for POD
  • 50
This is a DJ shot. He's jumping IN the woods on a mountain on a bike.
  • 30
 i find JD shots repetitive
  • 12
stop being cocky u know wht i mean, and its all a matter of opinion
  • 50
I dont think he's being cocky. and its safe to say there are a heck of alot of DJ pods compared to these!
  • 20
 thank you fred93
  • 30
thats whats great about pinkbike it features every kind of riding ... that said this isnt my favorite shot (i tend to prefer more action ...and color) but there is certainly an abundance of DJ pics so idk what you mean by needing more.
  • 11
i didnt mean aaronclixby7 was being cocky, i meant heckler51 was being being cocky. and yh fair enough i just htink recently there been alot of xc shots
