one, just one because you just had to second guess that the flow of water or the rider or the camera man would not do what its suppose to, so you get a answer of one.. but ya it probably took at least a few to setup the camera angle and such so my guess is 5-7ish.
I love this, I think its the best POD in a while to be fair. It has everything for me, a great rider, shot at speed, and I love the underwater bit in the foreground, think its really original and I does it for me, a great POD! Thanks Ian!
I'm a bit torn on this one today. I actually love the shot of the rider flying through the water and I think you timed it really well. Pretty inspiring pic. But..... I respect the shot you've gone for with the underwater view at the bottom, but to me it detracts from what I believe was a great shot anyway. It's almost like the water shot is taking something away from a great rider shot. i would have prefered to see the rider occupying more of the frame. Basically love the shot of the rider, not keen on the lower part of the picture. Props for an inventive picture though. Keep pushing the norms..
This shot is different, but It doesn't really blow my dress up. I like the idea and the creativity, but when I look at it I don't really feel like riding, or get that feeling like I'm stoked. I more or less want a cold glass of water. Hopefully tomorrow's POD is more about riding.
One of the togs in the Red Bull competition did a similar shot to this, but in a large puddle I believe. This one is well done, it's always good to try different things.
