Field Test: Santa Cruz Bronson
@mikekazimer: any comments on the rear shock mounting? I have the Bronson. Pulled the rear shock off and it looks proprietary to me.

Video: Introducing The 2018 Pinkbike Field Test
With all the cool bikes out there right now, I think all you need to do is decide on a discipline and buy a bike. There are too many cool bikes out there that I doubt anybody would be disappointed with their choice.

Ask Pinkbike: Shock Tuning, Flat Pedals, Ride Tracking & More
I recently bought a new Bronson in the S build kit. It has rebound on the fork and shock. The rear shock doesn’t even have a “lockout”. Nothing I really can tweak. No one or two clicks on LSC or HSC. Set that rebound and it’s all good. Going to basic stuff sure has helped my ocd.

Pinkbike Poll: How Long is Your Average Mountain Bike Ride?
I ride bikes, my wife runs. My wife works, I do not. Have a 7 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. She gets up and runs before work. I stay in bed and get up before she leaves at 6 30. I take the kids to the pool or on hike/walk during the late mornings. (I carry my boy in a kid pack) When she comes home from work we spend time as a family. As it cools off in the evenings, I go ride. Weekends are balanced. We let each other do a ride or run for however long. I also like to fish so sometimes I sneak away for an overnighter and sleep in the car. It’s balanced time for sure and it took practice to get where we are at. But it works for us.

Pinkbike Poll: What Injuries Have You Received While Mountain Biking?
Give your son my best! As a father myself, it's not something you wish to see on your kids. I have been lucky enough to escape head injury so far and I don't know anyone personally who has gone through that. So I can not offer advice or notes to that. But your comment left me thinking about my own kids. I wish Joe the quickest and most positive healing experience. And hang in there, Dad.

Large Specialized Enduro Pro frame. I built this frame up from scratch. Rockshox Lyric RC3 170 fork. Rockshox Monarch RC3 170 rear shock. Enve Handle Bar. Shimano XT Brakes. 200mm front rotor and 180 rear rotor. The rotors and pads are were put on last October. Carbon Roval SL boost Wheels 30mm internal width. Rear wheel is 28 spoke and the front is 24 spoke. Specialized Butcher Grid Tires. It also comes with a slaughter rear tire in the Grid casing. Comes with a Ohlins coil rear shock as well. just need the proper mounting hardware for that rear shock. Race face atlas cranks 175 mm. Race face BSA threaded BB. Sram GX 11 speed derailleur. XO1 shifter. Specialized Command post 3 position. SWAT Box with the stock sleeves for pump and tube. I wrapped the frame with an Invisiframe and there are no cosmetic scratches on the frame at all. This is a clean bike with everything working great. Buyer pays shipping. Let me know if you have any questions. thanks.

Dylan Sherrard's Dark Roast Diary - Lore of the Northern Loam
I don’t know Dylan but his writing and riding are exquisite. I appreciate the cursive handwriting too. I think it’s awesome.
