Selected by Colin Meagher - I'm thinking we need to do a DNA check on Anthony Messere; this kid is not human... Photo-wise, the composition's ok, lighting's ok, etc--it's the action that makes this my POD selection.
There's some sort of editing going on, maybe something cloned out. Open it up big and you'll see that the take off ramp comes down in front of the transition where the far sides meet, yet the transition comes down in front of the take off. A shadow couldn't do that.
There are a lot of good berms out there, not saying the one above isnt good but there are more amazing ones. Jimmys 12ft over vert beast comes to mind. Im guessing you just havent had much exposure to epic trails
Thanks for the love dudes but I'll be the first to admit there are a ton of berms as good or better out there haha, even far better ones at this very spot. I really appreciate the props though, nothing better than having people say they dig what you've poured so much into. cheers!
Not a single frame of a sequence, not a single frame in focus. Seriously, POD Stands for Picture of the day, the best picture of that day. That means it actually has to be a GOOD picture, because every day countless great images are uploaded to this site. What an embarrassing choice.
Its ONLY because his bike is BLUE ! Calling BULLSH#T; Photo shop, how can he be in six places at once ! unless hes a MAGICIAN ! HOLLY SMOKES I want some of that black magic !!
Its a multishot. Many digital cameras come with this option- the really high end ones really do excellent work. My Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Note come with this type of photo feature. You can see them in my profile. Pretty cool!
^yes the entry level DSLRs and some of the high end compacts will make sequences in camera. But its more of an added gimmick than useful tool, all higher end / professional DSLR do not. The traditional way to do a "Sequence" is to shoot using the cameras burst/continuos mode and then layer all the individual photos in photoshop to create the final image.
