I'll be interested to read this report... Why do you calculate aluminum freight as being approx 50% more than carbon freight? Also, is this assuming carbon can be repaired locally?

First Look: Banshee Bikes' All-New Anomaly Hardtail
@zizajaun: There are so many good rear racks that use universal mounts or run of the seat tube / post these days that I didn't feel it was necessary. I discussed this with a number of dealers who agreed. This is first and foremost a 'mountain bike'... just one that I'd personally be happy to take on multi day adventures if I built it up accordingly.
It is focused around a shorter travel or rigid fork primarily, hence the slacker head angle than the paradox and focus is slightly more on riding miles than playtime smiles.

First Look: Banshee Bikes' All-New Anomaly Hardtail
@zizajaun: and quite different frame angles, proportions, and BB drop... the geometry is really quite different if you compare them side by side. They just look similar.

First Look: Banshee Bikes' All-New Anomaly Hardtail
@wanderingbike: The Anomaly can be built up pretty easily singlespeed if you want, there are several ways to do this. Personally my favourite is to run a guide like an MRP G5 and use the rotation to take up the slack. I can't notice any extra friction or noise if I get the tension right... and it protects my chainring.

Been using postfenders for a few years on all my bikes. Does the job nicely, very low profile and without issue.
