Thought Experiment: How Much Does It Actually Cost To Start Mountain Biking?
get f'ing real you industry shills. I got back into mtb after a decade hiatus on a 20 year old stumpy with a blown fork that I got for free (certified dumpster bike). It was so damn fun a lil while later I rebuilt another trash bike and then a year or so later bought myself a proper rig that ive been riding 10+ years now. Biking is as cheap as you want it to be

Video: Leatt Celebrates 20 Years
i just picked up an Enduro 4.0 helmet from leatt. It took alot of research to figure out what exactly was different between their models (something they could improve on is website info clarity) but it was worth it because wow, it is awesome. I really wanted a helmet I could pedal up with and have the full face on the way down, and I tried on most of the competitive options for convertible and highly vented full faces and the leatt was WAY more comfortable. Looks and fit are subjective, but I think it looks great in both modes and after a long pedally descent yesterday at park city wearing it and googles I am fully sold. The increased security of a DH rated full face is so comforting and it vented way better than expected. It did mean I pretty much have to bring a camelback to carry the chinbar when I have gotten used to riding packless, but that is a reasonable tradeoff and it is nice to be able to bring some extra layers or snacks. Anyway, my first Leatt product and I can definitely see buying more.

First Look: Garbaruk's Aluminum Enduro Crankset
my garbaruk cassette is one of my favorite parts on my bike. been flawless and had it at least 3 years now. the lightness is extremely noticeable and the cost was very competitive. would definitely buy more from them when the time comes.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Need Downtube Storage?
I think downtube water storage is the best application for that space. I was trying to make a custom setup like this for my bike before throwing in the towel. There is about 1.5 liters of capacity inside my downtube. Id love to have it be a sealed vessel with a coated interior and a screw cap/hose port and a drain plug. I wouldn't want a reservoir, it wouldn't be difficult to clean out, just squirt a little dawn in there and fill/drain till clear. I've seen bikepacking bags do this with stove fuel. Alot of bikes are now producing compromised down tube shapes to accommodate a water bottle. Id argue that integrating it and producing a more optimized tube shape could result in a lower overall weight than many current designs.
