WADA Will Review its Cannabis Ban in 2022
What's so bad about doping? It would be cool to see weed taken off the list, but the whole concept of anti-doping needs to be reconsidered. Take the whole list down, and let athletes give feedback on why they want to use certain substances and see if the reasoning is valid. Honestly, if athletes could just use testosterone then they wouldn't have to use sketchy steroids to try and get the same results. It just seems so much safer to tell male athletes they can supplement exogenous testosterone to 1000 ng/dl blood concentration and make that as a trade for all the other drugs. Someone with a 350 concentration would see more improvement from a 1000 test score than they would from carbon rims. And all it would produce is healthier and better athletes, which is good for everyone. Anyway, cool to hear weed might be ok, but anti doping as a whole is stupid.

4 Pieces of Good News From the State of the Sport Survey
@Blackhat: I'm going to catch flaK for this, but MTB was developed in America, and is a much more cowboy kind of sport than road cycling which pretty much exclusively developed in Europe.

3D Printed Randoms - Pond Beaver 2021
On the consumer end, what great improvements need to be made to stems? They hold your bars to your steerer. Where the pruning is cool would be the possibility of unique features like a Garmin mount or some sort of new feature you can now add because of the revolutionary manufacturing tech. I guess if you think 3d printing is so cool you want to buy products made that way, all power to you, but I look at stems like I look at my cleats, I just need them to work.

The Best Clip-In Trail MTB Pedals for 2021 - Pinkbike Buyer's Guide
I honestly don't care either way, it's just unnecessary to give the whole stupid schtick. Just call them one or the other, what I hate is "Blah blah blah clipless pedals, which is weird because you clip in and it's called clipless, ISNT THAT WEIRD amirite!?!?!" Yes, someone may be confused here or there, but they can do 4 seconds of research and figure it out.

Revenue Round Up: 'We Really, Really Like What We Are Seeing'
Because in normal times you don't produce twice as many items as you expect to sell. Companies sold everything they made, and their entire back stock which is single digits.

Revenue Round Up: 'We Really, Really Like What We Are Seeing'
The closest thing I can compare this to is the US firearm market. A number of times supply ran dry due to panic buying and people were doom and gloom about the future. And every time new companies popped up and started producing like crazy, and the market as a whole grew. A rifle that cost $700 seven years ago could be bought for like $300 pre-pandemic/civil unrest bubble. I see no reason why a bunch of affordable bike companies can't pop up and start cranking out cool stuff. It won't be immediate, but it will happen. I'm not here to talk gun politics one way or another, I'm just pointing out that that market faced similar circumstances a few years ago ad things only got better and cheaper in the long run. Short term, bare shelves and sad faces. Long term, I absolutely see this as a good thing for MTB.

Randoms: A Bar / Tire Plug, MTB Tech for the Gravel World, an E-Commuter With No Seat Tube - Taipei Cycle Online 2021
@danstonQ: I love people building ultra specific bikes that make no sense to anyone but the rider. Their custom build may not be my cup of tea, but part of the cool factor is seeing what nobody else does.

Mountain Lion Shot & Killed After Stalking Family on California Trail
I live in the area and can tell you a few things. First, this isn't exactly a mtb trail, more of a paved walking trail. I point this out because a mountain lion getting this close to a high traffic area is different than running across one in the wild. Second, the homeless population in the area is pretty significant, so who know what kind of stuff that animal could have gotten into. Third, while I've had my issues with El Dorado County sheriff's, they don't have any history of being fast and loose with shooting things. A friend of our just had a baby and walks on that path. If I heard a wild animal was stalking them I would do the same thing.
