The 2017 Pinkbike Festive Gift Guide
Nothing says modern bike culture like a 150$ beer jug and a 180$ shirt. At the same time, I'm all for it. I think people bitch too much about "consumerism." POC sponsors events and riders, as do fox and every other brand we complain about being too expensive. If you don;t want something, move along. I am thinking about how to make my own growler keg though, the only thing special there is the lid and some fittings.

Race Face Introduces Carbon Wheel Guarantee
I don;t think so, only because there is a pickup truck and those are rare in the UK.

That's why awesome warranties/product support is temporary at best. Remember how great REI was? You could return anything, any time for any reason? Then people started thrashing their stuff and returning it for new gear, and now REI has changed their policy because people suck.

Race Face Introduces Carbon Wheel Guarantee
@jaame: When will the bicycle industry accept its role in our impending Kaiju doom? That's why I only pilot Aluminum Jaegers, easier on the wallet, and better for the environment after I spill 25 tons of acidic monster goop into the ocean.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Care About Sustainability?
It's worth pointing out that that's more a result of Chinese manufacture and less a trait of carbon fiber materials.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Care About Sustainability?
@gonecoastal: I agree. I have serious moral reservations about burning food in my truck so I can pat myself on the back when there are people starving in the world. I am also very aware that it's not food output, but massive bureaucracy, corruption, and transportation/infrastructure limitations that keep many people hungry

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Care About Sustainability?
@dualsuspensiondave: To play devils advocate, the EPA is an organization of people who hate petroleum regulating petroleum. Now I understand that a two sentence Pinkbike comment can't encapsulate the entire picture, with lots of shady shit on both sides, but this is roughly the equivalent of MTBers not agreeing with trail regulations set forth by the Equestrians Association of America.

Canyon Now Offering Home Delivery by Velofix
Yeah, I don't see canyon and YT destroying the market anytime soon. LBS' make their money on local whales and people who have the money to pay someone to change their tubes for them. Which in my eyes is GREAT. Guys like me don't keep the lights on, I roll in every so often for a valve core or some sealant, that doesn't pay mechanics or put on local races. Dentists pay for cycling to exist, and I applaud them for that.

@BadgerBacker: Good old local ordinances, make sure you suck some city councilman's dick for 6 months before you set up a bike stand near a trail. Because if you don;t have special permission and a license to turn a wrench, EVERYTHING WILL BURN!!!
