Kona Bicycles' Parent Company Appoints New CFO, Intends to Sell Brand
@enki: If only the Kona guys would hang out more on PB threads, they'd have it all sorted in a heartbeat ;) Just in case they are... I'll take these, please: Honzo Explosif 853 Process 111 Unit Abra Cadabra Jake The Snake Stinky In all seriousness though, I hope they find a buyer who understands what Kona is really about. Back in the day, when you bought a Kona you were buying into a way of thinking. It was a tribe. I'd love to see that back again.

Review: SDG Tellis V2 Dropper Post - No Slop, More Drop
Same here. Having been on Fox, X-Fusion, BX, and PNW on various bikes... the v1 Tellis is still my fave. It just works. Living in the Lakes, it's seen biblical amounts of mud and rain, but it just keeps going. When (and if) it dies, it'll be replaced with a v2.

Review: SRAM's New Maven Brakes - The Big Brake
@FoxRedLabs: I know, right? I mean, to an extent, that's a separate argument (though it shouldn't be). I think if anyone on here was being entirely honest with themselves they'd admit that they've been suckered into marketing BS. We all have. The reason car parts are so much cheaper (comparatively) is because the general motoring public, on the whole, simply won't pay the sort of ridiculous prices that MTB parts ask. As long as we continue to lap up this nonsense, they'll continue to hike up prices. R&D only accounts for so much. I have an MV Agusta (1000cc Italian motorbike) that I just had fully serviced - valve timings, fork service, the lot - and it cost me LESS than I was quoted by my LBS to have a full service + suspension service on my Orbea. HOW??? Don't even get me started on derailleurs...

@Ttimer: Cars need DOT. Leg-powered bikes just don't.

Review: SRAM's New Maven Brakes - The Big Brake
@Benjustice275: I've genuinely had the opposite experience. Okay, so I haven't used a SRAM product for a good few years now, admittedly, but that's because they were so infuriatingly unreliable that I avoid anything SRAM at all costs. And I'm including their suspension in that too. Honestly, my experience with SRAM brakes has been constant bleeding and awful lifespan. Whereas Shimano have been fit-and-forget. I'm happy to have my mind changed, but at SRAM prices (here in the UK) versus Shimano, it's unlikely I'd ever move from trusty XTs.

Review: SRAM's New Maven Brakes - The Big Brake
[EDIT] "The explanation behind the change is fairly simple: Shimano's brakes are way more reliable, so we're gonna do that now. Kthxbai."
