So, what’s next? SRAM licensing PDK from Porsche? Seriously however, growing up as a “4 (or 5) on the floor” guy, I can never ever see myself using this until I’m well into my cognitive decline. However, there are people I love who are challenged by even a can opener and I can see this being a winner for them.

Last time I saw that color on a bike it was on the rack at Toys R Us. I think it had tassels as well. How about a bike in understated maroon like the original Strato 102’s? Point those babies downhill and don’t bother trying to carve until you hit 30.

But I can tell you this, competition with ebikes will become like any other motorized sport; it’s about how much you spend and how much you can cheat without being caught. As someone said, this is a bike for old farts. That’s me! I’m 63 and a good day is 15 miles and 2000 feet of climbing. Most of my riding is going to be cross country oriented. While I enjoy the occasional technical downhill it’s not where I’ll be spending my time. When the time comes, for someone like me this is a great solution.
