MTB Industry Rumor Round-Up - Hardline Expands, New Saint, Radial Tires, & More
If they can pull the permitting off to build a hardline course on crownland in less then a year I would be shocked. It’s going to have to happen in a Commercial Recreation Area (CRA) or on private property, if it happens at all.

Review: Chromag's New Mid-Travel Reazon is a Singletrack Steamroller
@brighterlights: I am not going to disagree with you. I am coming of a Primer, and the Darco took some getting use to. My Darco is way over forked because I built it up from my primer. You definitely have to ride it. It does not forgive laziness in body positioning. it also benefits from lighter, faster tires. But it’s a fun bike. not a bike for everyone, definitely not perfect, but super fun for the right person.

The Darco is a sick bike, but the numbers clearly don’t appeal to many people, despite how it rides. and Pinkbike did that bike a dirty on their review of it.

Round-Up: Winter is Coming, Here Are 8 New Hardtails
I run a 170mm fork on my Chromag Primer and it’s amazing. I don’t really get the trail stapler opinion. I may have a static 63.5 head angle, but when you account for sag it’s much less then that. sag has a greater effect on head angle the a full suspension bike, obviously! We have steep trails around here and I set me fork up so it stays high in its travel. most of the times you actually bottom out your fork, head angle is irrelevant because who knows what your rear wheel is doing? The quantum mechanics is a rear wheel on a hardtail, it’s everywhere at the same time, hopefully it’s mostly behind you. TLDR, long slack over forked hard tails are fun, don’t listen to the haters, their trails probably suck.

@Mtbdialed: American Exceptionalism = "((stolen land * slavery)*(oil)^2)" but you know, the imperial system too.

Tire Choices & Pressures of 20 Pro Racers - Les Gets DH World Cup 2023
@The-Spirit-of-Jazz: the correlation I see is that the lighter (slower)* riders ridding lower pressure use inserts and the heavier (faster) riders running more pressure do not. *still faster than the average mountain biker.

Top XC Racers Criticize Last-Minute UCI Rule Change Around Elite Start Order at Worlds [Updated]
I get the racers writing a letter, but the comments here are acting like MVP is some celebrity rider who bought his way into this competition. MVP is not mid pack fodder, he is one of the most exciting riders in the world at the moment. Of course the UCI wants him in the mix.

Review: My First Year with the 5-Bike 1Up Recon Rack
I have an older Rav4 that I tow a sled (snowmobile) trailer with. the car is rated to tow 1600pounds and handles the trailer and sled just fine. I also have a 4 bike north shore rack. the few times I have had 4 bikes on the rack, and 4 people in the car, I want air bags for the rear suspension. all that weight way behind the rear axle is an issue for smaller vehicles.
