First Look: Sam Hill's Nukeproof Mega 290 - EWS Madeira 2019
The real reason for Sam's sub par results in the first two rounds is clearly added weight and wind resistance from those Schrader valves.

Bike Shop Employee Seriously Injured Attempting to Stop Thieves [Update: Thieves Arrested]
@74tenomresc: What happened to your friend is horrible and I'm sorry to hear that. But it sounds to me like you're the closed minded one if you're willing to tar all illegal immigrants with the same brush just because of a few rotten ones. I would argue that most illegal immigrants, you are so keen to demonise, are hard working honest folk, looking for a better life and fleeing those very people that did that to your friend. BTW, you never mentioned if those who executed your friend were apprehended and officially identified as illegal immigrants.

Bike Shop Employee Seriously Injured Attempting to Stop Thieves [Update: Thieves Arrested]
@CaliCol: Correct but, "The AFQT is applied as sections of the ASVAB, and the score represents an applicants percentile ranking in the general population. The 31st percentile represents an IQ of approximately 93; the 10th %-ile represents IQ 81" The law dictates a preference for IQ’s above 93, and a prohibition on IQ’s below 81." So the test, while not exactly an IQ test gives results that have strong correlation to IQ. In fact the army is not permitted to accept more than 20% of total applicants from the 10th to 31st percentile category in any given year. Meaning that, even if your IQ is around 92 as an equivalent of the AFQT test scores, you may not be accepted on that basis alone.

@roninagent23: Your "belief" in what you just wrote doesn't mean it's true. It's just your opinion. I prefer facts, and since you mentioned the army, here's an army related fact. The US Army will not accept recruits with an IQ lower than 85. That is a significant proportion of population. So, if the army thinks they have no use for such an individual, how exactly do you suggest they reach that million dollar potential you "believe" they have? Capacity is an excuse. At least for those individuals who are not even good enough to be canon fodder according to your army. Maybe, some of those people have reached their potential, and that potential isn't good enough, according to the capitalist society in which they live. Those people need help, and saying they can't have it because you "believe" they have it in them to work harder, be better and achieve more is the pinicle of western capitalist arrogance.

@OpeSorryAbootThat: Agreed. I ride trails normally used in the enduro race series here in Ireland. They are a mixture of flow and steep, tight and technical trails. All natural stuff. I have an Intense Tracer that I race on those same trails. Interestingly, I find myself thinking that I am just as fast on both bikes. Then again, I haven't ridden the Tracer since I got the GLF in October, so I'm probably wrong.
