Video: Friday Fails #317
@CSharp: most probably the bike has QR axle. Seen dislodged rear wheels in my local spot A LOT.

Kade Edwards To Miss Majority of 2024 Season After ACL & Meniscus Reconstruction
@hohmskullkrishten: If I was on some slippery SPDs when I partially tore my side ligament and got new tear in my meniscus, I probably would come out alright. With those FiveTens on DMRs no chance for the foot to rotate with the rest of the body in that particular situation.

2023 Pinkbike Awards: Product of the Year Nominees
@ratedgg13: yeah shimano drivetrain shifts great and the price is right, but durability - not so much. Over two seasons I've exchanged 3 outer plates, and 1 inner plate of the derailleur, 4 pulley sets, and two derailleurs themselves (one SLX broken in half near the clutch), one of my SLX chains lost 3 of its rollers, one XT chain broke, two cranks have their pedal threads stripped out, one SLX cassette lost 2 of its alum teeth. Not terrible, but not great either. Started to consider Linkglide hoping it's a little bit more durable

Review: Cane Creek Electric Wings Titanium Cranks
@BarryWalstead: 12S Shimano cranks typically loose their threads at the pedal axle insert. Both pedals in my SLX cranks just went down a couple of degrees, in the direction according to my stance. Tried to warranty, shitmano said it was "external impact". Replaced with newish XTs I had laying around, looked like the pedals started to go after a couple of months as well, but then clipped a rock with a pedal a little bit - which not even threw me off line - and the thread stripped clean out.

Review: Shimano XT Linkglide - Here For a Good Time AND a Long Time
If only they fixed heir cranks. I've broken a Shimano SLX and a XT 12S cranks in two seasons, the pedal axle tread just strips out. Talked to fellow mechanics, according to them it's a common and known problem.

First Ride: Raaw Madonna V3 - Better Than Ever
@pisgahgnar: I was refering to the FAQ section, but yeah, I've read the description and watched the vid. If only there were light(-ich) DC forks in the market, but thumbs up for RAAW to allow even more options

First Ride: Raaw Madonna V3 - Better Than Ever
Regarding DC forks - that's an interesting development. I was asking RAAW if I could run a DC fork on my V2.2 Madonna, they said 'no', and in fact the FAQ section states: "we don’t recommend running a dual crown fork on the Madonna and Jibb frames, as it will void the warranty." There's no update there for the V3.0. The cable/bumper mount hole indeed has been moved.

First Ride: Wildwood Cycles Titanium Trail Bike
Pics are not very clear, but looks like there's no bridge between rocker halves. Good luck to that trunion Fox shock surviving more that 3 hours of proper riding. But considering the price, it might be aimed at little bit different audience :)
