Specialized Is Trying to Make E-Bike Overlanding a Thing
Well that front rack looks kinda neat, but it's not immediately clear if it fits any other bikes. If it does, then that's cool! otherwise, consider me unimpressed

30% Of Racers Hit The Deck at the 2026 Loudenvielle DH World Cup - Story Of The Race
Always a treat to hear from Finn, he's got that humble focus and some serious speed building. Also, continues to be one of the best whips on the circuit imo.

4 Things We Learned from the Loudenvielle DH World Cup
those speed trap speeds are absurd, I don't think I've hit speeds like that off-road outside of a car!

Results: Elite Finals at the Loudenvielle DH World Cup
@11six: I call that "high-entropy content" where it produces noise/content but doesn't actually contribute information. It is what the mechanics, engineers, the team are paid to do, so telling us that in this format contributes either zero or negative information. If they said something like "they've been at a training camp in the south of France to prepare for this" then you're getting information. "They've done a great job getting that bike working flawlessly" that's a compliment. "The team is doing what they are paid to do" is words that do nothing.

What We Learned From the Qualifying Carnage at the Loudenvielle DH World Cup
Even just a live broadcast of the finish corral with the split times going. Anyways they're charging too much for what they give

Testing $1,000 Mountain Bikes in Sedona: 2026 Value Field Test
@mikekazimer: my first bike had a coil-sprung SR Suntour fork and until I learned how to pull it apart it was genuinely problematic. Breakaway force was inconsistent, it would dive hard once in the travel, and would bind up on braking so wouldn't return to full travel. The darn thing caused so many crashes. Now I've got a fully rigid I built for ~900CAD with a catalogue steel hardtail frame and I'm happier than on the budget hardtail... But it's true I can appreciate a fully rigid more because I now have a full sus too.

Testing $1,000 Mountain Bikes in Sedona: 2026 Value Field Test
my hot take is that really-value MTBs should be fully rigid with good wheels, good brakes, heavy tires, and a dropper post. Suspension-corrected rigid front forks can then be upgraded, and the bike becomes a more capable hardtail than most of these budget hardtails. And until you upgrade, you have less maintenance and fewer things to go wrong. Maybe I just feel this way because I prefer no suspension to a less-dependable suspension, and I've had bad experiences with ultra-budget suspension.

Pinkbike Poll: It's Bike Park Season. Do You Care?
Whistler became a bit of a hard sell for me after the lift ticket prices bumped up, what with the ~2hr drive from the Fraser Valley. But now, with Grouse Mountain putting in a bike park, some lift-accessed riding may be in the future!

First Look: The Madrone Jab DH Derailleur
Man that advert/trend pissed me off because everyone was just standing on the frame where the derailleur mounts, not the actual derailleur. Want to impress me? Stand on the long-ass cage in the granny gear. Smh
