Throwback Thursday: 5 Riders Who Have Crossed Between Road & Mountain Bike Racing
Well, four years later, we can say that PFP is the undisputed winner of this competition, since in addition to her triple crown in cyclocross, mountain biking, and road racing 11 years ago, she has added multiple world titles and an Olympic gold medal in mountain biking, two world titles in mountain bike marathon, one title in gravel (15 in total), and to top it all off, in 2025 she won extremely different road races: on the cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix and the two high mountain stages plus the GC on the Tour de France Femmes in the same year (on her first attempt!), a feat that only Bernard Hinault has achieved in 50 years! The 25 Greatest Riders of the Decade
If we consider multidisciplinary cyclists, including the results from 2025, the two undisputed women are Marianne Vos and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, ahead of most male cyclists.

2024 Pinkbike Awards: Performance of the Year Winner
And a year later, she was recognized as Road Cyclist of the Year (Velo d'Or, Cycling Weekly, CyclingUpToDate, etc.) after her solo victories on the cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix, two podium finishes in the spring classics, and above all, her outstanding performance in the Tour de France Femmes. Quite simply, she more than deserved it.

Pauline Ferrand Prévot Could be Signing with Ineos
@jclnv: It's true that she only beat weak riders in 2014-2015, including Marianne Vos, the previous champion! And for her return to the road in 2025, I still can't understand how she managed to beat the best classics specialists on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix and achieve three podium finishes in the most renowned spring classics. Finally, I was surprised to see her outclass the best climbers in the Women's Tour de France and win it ahead of the two previous winners, who were surely mediocre riders too. She has no talent for winning in completely different events, that's for sure.

Mathieu Van Der Poel Aims for Mountain Bike World Championship Title in 2025
Yes, Marianne was champion in four disciplines, which was unique and unmatched until Pauline did it in three disciplines in less than a year (2014-15), then in four disciplines (three mountain bike world championships and one gravel world championship) in 2022 in just over a month! Both were also Olympic champions and won a Grand Tour, the 2014 Giro for Marianne (ahead of Pauline in second place!) and the 2025 TdFF for Pauline. I wouldn't separate them; they will remain together at the top of women's cycling for a very, very long time.

Pauline Ferrand Prevot Announces That 2024 is Her Last Year Racing MTB
@jpnbrider: She did it! Despite the enormous pressure for her final attempt and the expectations of her entire country! I don't believe there is one GOAT among women cyclist, but rather two: her and Marianne Vos !

Pauline Ferrand Prevot Announces That 2024 is Her Last Year Racing MTB
@jpnbrider: I agree, it's now done, with a “small” bonus, the Women's Tour de France and Paris-Roubaix on her first attempt. Who else could do better than her?

"I Don’t See Myself Doing this Again" - Pauline Ferrand Prevot Wins Paris Olympic MTB XC Gold Medal
After “training” during the 2025 spring classics (three podium finishes and victory on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix), she breezed through the Tour de France in her first year. Easy (well, almost)!
