Review: Shimano XT 8220 Brakes - More Consistency, Same Value
Just an FYI: mineral oil does not absorb water like DOT brake fluid does. Therefore if you keep your old oil in a separate container for a day, the water and sediment (brake dust) will settle out to the bottom and you can decant 95% of the now clean clear oil off the top back into your storage bottle and reuse it. I have been doing this for many years and have had no problems in doing so. Saves money and keeps old oil from going to waste.

Any word on whether Rockshox has done anything to prevent creaking CSU's from happening? I have had bad luck with the initial and the replacement CSU on my 2024 Zeb, and so I am leery of investing in another single crown Rockshox fork any time soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if my 2840g 2025 BoXXer which has a shorter steerer and a lighter direct mount stem weighs the same as the new 2600g 2026 Zeb with a longer steerer and heavier standard stem.
