Pinkbike Awards: Component of the Year Nominees
Hayes Dominion would get my vote here, I have been riding them for a few months now and have nothing but good things to say about them, easy to set up and a nice combination of power and great modulation. I even felt a bit emotional when they were good as it brought back memories of my trusty old Hayes 9. Welcome back Hayes. Yet to see an XTR group I was allowed to ride but it looks nice.

Higenamine & Oxilofrine: What Are the Banned Substances that Jared Graves & Richie Rude Tested Positive For?
@mattwragg: as well as the sanctions referred to in the article, what about the relatively new French anti doping laws? Without a legit excuse are they not also facing prison?

Review: Shimano XT Flat Pedals
Used these for 3 weeks, the outer pins are already bent beyond being able to fit an allen key in. Most damage was done while climbing rocky trails. I think 2 were when descending. On the plus side they have good grip and despite bending the pins stayed in. In the world of wider q factors (Boost and ebikes) and low BB's, big traditional flats like these look a bit dated for the use they get, it would be good if the pedal makers started to design with this in mind so we smash less pins in the first place.

Video: Danny MacAskill Rides in the Foulest Weather Imaginable
@FuzzyL: They should have filmed it in Southern Bavaria, that gets a similar average rainfall to the wettest valley in England. Maybe this why so many German waterproof clothing brands are based near Munich?

MUST WATCH: RJ Ripper - Joey Schusler's New Film About Nepal’s Fastest Rider
I had the pleasure of teaming up with a Nepalese guide from Kathmandu to lead a group on a 10 day MTB ride in Nepal, the struggle to just keep a bike rolling is huge, he hadn't had any damping in his fork for over a year but he still rode everything at speed and with a huge smile. Good luck RJ, great story that we can all benefit from. Thanks for sharing it so openly.

Renthal Push-On Grip Ultra Tacky – Review
This combo is available but normally it is only on kids bikes. The problem is that after a few knocks the rubber can get cut up instead so you still end up seeing the end plug.

Lapierre Overvolt AM 727i - First Ride
@FloriLori: As you approach the island on the ferry you will be greeted by painted cliffs that say "go home tourists". Kind of sets the tone for the visit.
