Val di Sole World Cup DH and XC Cancelled
@cvoc: I have not read anything about restrictions heading back to Germany either. I also know people making the trip in the next days that are coming back again before Austria also opens on the 15th.

Things are changing fast, already since this week you can drive there from Germany through Austria, you can't stop for anything on Austria though, a toilet stop could be very expensive.

I was thinking the same about all the alpine venues, September or later normally means good chance of snow. Less thunderstorms though. ????

BC Bike Race Announces 'Ride to Win' Zwift Contest with Geoff Kabush
@Sreyno: Setting it up everyday could be tedious, our guest bedroom is looking quite cramped now, thanks to covid it is not needed for guests anyway. Connecting to a computer or tablet screen via bluetooth is instant once you have the account. The pain for me is that the cassette on the Saris is a different cable position to the wheel on the bike I use on it, I will probably have to set the gears each time I ride that bike outside. Strava, rouvy etc need a power meter to work well, there you have cost. You save time with kit faff, nobody to judge your fashion sense so you just find your oldest shorts, sweat towel and pedal.

BC Bike Race Announces 'Ride to Win' Zwift Contest with Geoff Kabush
Until a month ago I'd never tried a virtual ride either. Now have a saris H3 and using it with Rouvy (follow movies of the road) once the kids are in bed. Far more engaging than I expected, the effort required on "climbs" is also much harder than the real world so outside seems relatively easier. Didn't expect to like it!

Eurobike Postponed - Slimmed Down Event Planned for November
Germany is more accommodating than that towards seasonal turkey munchers, pounded breaded turkey is served everyday in Germany. Putenschnitzel is eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner, often wrapped in more bread. Once a year you can be extra thankful.

Pinkbike Poll: If Every Ride Was Solo, Would You Still Mountain Bike?
When I started mountain biking in the 80s I was the only kid in school with a mountain bike, lone wolf from the start, I guess old habits die hard. Now I only ride with a select few people that are on a similar wavelength and fitness.

Pearl Izumi's Vortex Jacket and Elevate Shorts with BOA - Pond Beaver 2020
The original Endura Humvee is still my favorite, full belt with elastic. I have newer shorts with built in velcro tighteners from Endura, Ion, Maloja and Norona, only the Norona gets as much use as my old Humvies, the others just release when the jersey or backpack rubs on them.
