Custom carbon Enduro/DH/E-MTB wheels

$1200 USD
A custom carbon 29er Boost spacing wheel set that was built with one goal: strength. These are Derby Sol Rider 29 in. x 30mm internal width carbon rims, which is their most durable carbon offering. You can learn more about the rims here: https://derbyrims.com/sol-rider-sr They have 32 holes in each of them, and they're laced to Onyx Classic hubs using straight gauge DT Swiss spokes and brass nipples. The hubs are center lock bodies, and I have drivers for Shimano MicroSpline and SRAM XD. I've also got center lock to 6 bolt disc adapters if needed. I chose the Classic hubs rather than the Vesper hubs for the extra hub shell strength. They were professionally built by Angry Catfish in Minneapolis, who did the nicest work I've ever seen. My OCD was really happy when I saw how they were assembled. I have about 300 miles on these, and they've survived some rugged trails and 6 foot drops. What I lack in riding aggression I make up for in mass with a riding weight around 250 lbs. These wheels would be great on an E-MTB, or any bike destined for hard core enduro or downhill terrain. Tubeless valves are included. The Muc-Off rim tape is still in good shape. All bearings are smooth, and the hubs are silent. These cost me around $2700 to put together. I won't be riding in a way that I need wheels this strong, so it's time to move them along to someone who can use these wheel's capability. PayPal accepted. Buyer pays shipping.

Elite Finals Results from the Fort William DH World Champs 2023
What a bummer of a race. It’s so frustrating when weather skews the results.

First Look: Reeb's New Steel Enduro Racer is Partly 3D-Printed
I wondered why the Sqweeb suddenly vanished from their website. This new rig looks good at first glance! I'd take a hard look at one of these if I need a longer travel bike than I currently have, especially since they're offering Ohlins suspension as an option.

God I wish Honda would have stayed in the mountain bike scene. The bikes they'd have now would be incredible.

Patent Round-up: Shimano's Crazy Derailleur, Electronic Shifter & SRAM's Floating Brakes
@DirtCrab: I forget the details and don't have time to look them up right now, but there is a thumb shifter assembly available for Pinion gearboxes so you can ditch the twist shift. I'm interested in Zerodes, too.
