Tech Randoms Part 1: Crankworx Rotorua 2019
Miss those days when the riders were recognizable by their custom helmet paintjobs. McGrath, Emig with his checkerd flag Shoei, the flames on Bradshaw's Shoei etc... Now you have big claws, the big Red Bull logo and not much freedom and space to play with (I suppose).

3 Bike Checks From Round 1 of the Raon L'Etape Enduro Series
@lbatista: You were really good so yes I guess. I saw some vids of you in the past, pretty good at about everything you touch ala Shaun Palmer. The article stated MX1 French champ which can lead people to believe you've been Elite champ and I used to follow MX a lot (and still does) and I never heard about you being national champ. What championship (different category?) are we talking about?

3 Bike Checks From Round 1 of the Raon L'Etape Enduro Series
Batista may have been MX1 French champion in 2014 but not in the Elite category which is the equivalent of the AMA Nationals (not in term of level nor prestige), Sébastien Pourcel (Christophe's older brother) was. Batista does have some really serious kills in Motocross but he was ranked 29th on the 2014 season with 11 points. https://www.elite-motocross.fr/resultatsftp/2014/005-Thomer%20la%20Sogne/MX1/Classement%20Championnat%20de%20France/classement/MX1%20Situation%20championnat%20de%20France.pdf

The Tuesday Tune Ep 20: Preload Adjustment - Video
Hi Steve, concrete example. I don't bottom out too frequently, my bike has good grip and feels really comfortable, front to back balance is pretty good, I'm 76kg with full gear on and rock a 2015 Boxxer Team with the medium coil installed (only drawback, the bike isn't super dynamic cause a little soft and I have to work a bit much to throw it from turn to turn). I do have two preload spacers installed, one being the minimum otherwise there's slack. One of my complaint is I find the front a little bit low in the really steep sections when my weight is completely over the front. As I'm not asking for more bottom out resistance, is preload a good solution to help keeping the front a bit higher as it adds a bit of resistance force (Obviously, It would be detrimental to small bumps sensitivity)? Would adding low speed compression be a better option? I read that too much preload could lead to top out klunk when the wheel lives the ground. I can hear a slight top out sound nothing too bad really (and my rebound isn't that fast), is it normal? Thanks a lot, Benjamin.
