First Ride: the Trek Slash+ Sets a High Bar
On a facebook Fuel EXE, people were saying that it didn't fit. It would but you have to take off the plug on the downtube so you would have to take your battery out the frame everytime to recharge it, I think. So, no, it won't fit. ;) I only did 150-200km on mine and not in love.... was not the mini enduro people were talking about, don't fit my mullet wheels, even in full 29 it is too low for me. That slash is the bike I would have dream of but...way too expensive!! But 350+mm BB instead of 330, wowww that's the dream!!! lol But also way heavier so don't know if it would be as fun..

@b1k35c13nt15t: I've just done that for my fuex EXE 9.7 and it has the same cheap parts as the cheapest slash right now, so 11 000$. Do you know how much you can sell a Fox Rhytmn fork?! lol I bought mine at 20% so about 9200$tx in and not keeping anything stock except cassette and derailleur but I am really not making a lot of money with those cheap parts! Now imagine the same parts but on a 11 000+tx so 12650$ bike!! That's a, at least, 10 500-11 000$ frame! Ouch!

Knolly Announces New 190mm Delirium
Yeah it seems like all the frame only that I would like comes with a Fox, usually X2. No more Fox for me, never ever!! And nobody wants to buy them, 75% of the shocks to sell on pinkbike are X2. lol

Review: The Airdrop Edit MX - No Frills, All Thrills
@DonEnrique: That's one of the reason why I like Hope brake so much...brake pads are cheap, like at least half the price so Shimano ones. I don't know if you're talking about cheap one like on Aliexpress or something like that but don't know if they have some for Hope....but anyway at like 30$ canadian, I prefer to just buy it in my lbs. Shimano are like 70+. lol

Review: The Airdrop Edit MX - No Frills, All Thrills
On my mullet Banshee Titan, I had 203mm but since getting the new Hope tech4 e4, I went with 180 rear! 203 was skidding a bit more than I like on really steep slabs or when super dry or wet.... So I'm also with the more options is never a bad thing.

@Muckal: Yeah we saw that tape around the cables idea on the facebook owner page if I remember, and it helped but was not perfect. Yeah now I know that we shouldn't put a fork when passing the cables, didn't know back then.. it would help just with normal cables but not with cables+foam, which is the tiny holes near the shock that is the problem. One cable is good but not two. Kitsuma seems to be okay after like 6months. But at the end, I think it was starting to go, heard a weird noise once or twice. Will bring it to the shop anyway so I'll know then. Formula rebound knob is suuuuuper tight, like I'm happy to have glove if playing with it so even with long nose I couldn't turn it. Shock fault but just don't like the shock location/tunnel for that reason. But the real problem was the alignment. I had a hard time puting back a shock...The first upper shock bolt is good but then it is not easy to screw the second one, I have to push hard so it is straight enough. If I have no shock, put my frame on the floor so that the swingarm goes up, we can see the seattube does not arrive in the middle of the tire, it is not at the same angle as the wheel. First time I had to take off a bolt of one a the pivot (don't remember which one), it was soooo tight, had to take a big ratchet and it made a loud noise. I think it was seized, their was some white powder on the bolt..... and I had to redo the thread! Anyway, I was told that it was normal and just put the 3 shock bolt and then screw it tight. That is what I was already doing lol Also always had a creak that I couldn't find where it was coming from. I was cleaning the dropper post, was good for a ride and after it started all over again. Then I took it off and once again, full of dirt so water was entering from somewhere. Just had so many things and didn't want to keep my bike then....but still kept it for 2 years.

Well after 3 years on an xl and large Titan, I finally bought something else! The XL was okay but only problems with the large. Big misalignment problem and they said that it was normal.... plus the internal routing is worse, absolutely needing foam but then try to pass 2 cables on those tiny holes next to the shock! Now I'm okay with my CC Kitsuma coil but with the previous shock I had to take it off like 4 or 5 times to adjust the rebound. I would not do any maintenance on my dropper post because it was a pain in the ass to play with those cables/foam. At that price, I don't want to ziptie my cables, oh no!! I built my brother's hardtail frame and what a pleasure to have those external cables, damn!!! Like my Knolly Warden V1! Warden V2 was not ideal but still great to work with. Never saw something as painfull as the Banshee V3 (talking about cable routing). Knolly were super good to warranty a frame, but Banshee didn't seem to care! Probably because of that ''normal'' misalignment that my $$$ Formula Mod went kapout after a couple of months too.

2024 Tour de Gnar Cancelled After Yoann Barelli's Horrific Crash
The top part is steep (for us, not for them or BC riders lol) but I don't know how you could end up in the river?! lol The top part is not wet, only near the end but it's also flatter. Really doesn't need a fence there, come on, its not a ravin!! I went there with people that ride blue trails and they just didn't do the black parts, everything was all good. Many, many, people ride this trail, you don't need to be an expert....just not a beginner of course and use your head...if something is too difficult, just walk that part, nothing wrong with that! Somebody just died at Bromont and the reporter was asking what they would do to make the mountain safer... LOL It was already a flowy trail, without rock and roots. So you cannot have rocks and roots, now no jumps, no fast parts, no steep....so maybe we should all go biking on roads?! All those places are still way safer than driving your car on the road, stop panicking please!!
