Pinkbike Poll: How Are You Actually Watching World Cup Racing These Days?
I signed up for Discovery specifically to watch DH racing. The c*nts pulled the service in Ireland without announcing it and, barring VPN, there is no option to watch in Ireland without signing up for another very expensive monthly subscription. Discovery and total w@nkers and wont give money back

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Even Ride Park?
I'd ride a lot more bike park if we had more than 3 in Ireland. And the features are ludicrously small thanks to our ridiculous insurance regulations.

ION Releases Nico Vink Signature Edition Chest & Back Protection
@Loki87: I reckons your tight. I was wearing a Bluegrass D30 vest with shoulder/back protection when I dislocated my left shoulder, broke the humerus and put a tear in nearly everything you can tear in your shoulder. Left me wondering what the point of wearing protection was at all especially when it was off camber wet roots that took me out not a hardline sized drop.

Video: Ronan Dunne's Flat Out Winning POV from the New Zealand National DH Series
Forget the speed for 1/2 second, the precision is insane. A mate tried to follow Ronan down a track recently and Ronan lost my mate before he had turned his first crank....

Mike Kazimer's 2025 Predictions
I’m surprised no one commented on the dark economic days of the major brands post Covid. Also constantly surprised that people are content to spend so much on kit. Example, the average Irish monthly industrial wage in 1993 was €2000, when I bought a KHS mid range MTB, so roughly a third of monthly income. My recent firebird has a tag of €8,500 so do I earn €26k a month? Like hell I do. Declining sales aren’t from lack of want, it’s because people don’t have a ludicrous amount of money to spend. A mate bought a €500 direct to factory frame from China and he said it’s one of the best rides he has- and he has a firebird and 3 other hi end bikes too. So, are Messers China, Taiwan & Vietnam charging Mr. Pivot, Evil, Trek etc. 80% of the cost of your €4,000 frame? Like fuck they are. I suspect the major and boutique brands are making several 100% margin on frames alone. The brands need to wake up to the fact that post COVID, most peeps have fuck all money and can’t afford the lunacy anymore. I’d love to programme my Time Machine to find the fucker who thought it was ok to put €5,999 on the price tag of a bike and execute them. And every one that came after.

Fork Offset: What Are the Pro Downhillers Running?
Its a bit of a joke made into a mountain by fork brands. I ran my setup through a calculator and the difference in trail between 44 and 51mm offset is 5mm. 5mm is going to have f*ck all effect on stability.
