Video: Brooke Goudy on Removing Barriers & Why Representation Matters
Thank you for this. As an Asian who have riden in countries most consider majority white, I've never encountered barriers that would stop me from enjoying riding. The truth is, the only barriers are the ones we place ourselves be it motivation or our lack of enthusiasm about this amazing sport and community. I also believe that citing the costs of the sport is a red herring placed by people with their own agendas. I can enjoy a ride in a $300 HT just as much if I'm riding a more expensive stumpjumper. Again, the barriers are the ones we place ourselves.

@StanMarsh: This is only the beginning. They won't stop until they make the whole world believe that everyone and everything is evil in a systemic kinda way.

[Updated] Race Rumours Recap: A Run Down of the Holiday Silly Season
Enduro is almost impossible to broadcast live so we're stuck with weekend recaps making it less thrilling and entertaining even for the hardcore riders let alone casual fans.
Although nobody buys DH bikes anymore, the tension and thrill of a DH World Cup makes it a viewing spectacle and it allows brands to showcase their Halo products to the public which will eventually trickle down to the trail bikes most of us buy.
It's true when they say Specialized builds the Demo to sell more Stumpjumpers.

UCI to Consider Lowering Female Transgender Athletes’ Maximum Testosterone Threshold
I imagine "her" being team mates with Tahnee racking up 1-2s every race. Then followed by a cover spread at Cyclepassion calendar 2020

@hamncheez: This. Once more dudes decide to go this route and start dominating the women's field and take away podiums from Seagrave or Siegenthaler, who's gonna feel sorry for them?
What's to stop Loic from suddenly identifying as a woman and then go on to be the first ever UCI Inter-Gender World Champion? Wait. That would be cool by the way.

@DDoc: I think Brian Park is taking the role of word and thought police in PB. I'm all for respect and being nice, but I don't want anyone here to get banned because he refused to call me Chewie because I now identify as a wookie.

Jordie Lunn Passes Away After Crash in Mexico
Jordie was/is the epitome of mountain bike freedom. In an age of bigger bikes, evolving tech and an abundance of great riders like we have never seen before, we tend to forget that this is still a sport that stares danger in the face.
His and McGazza's deaths reminds us that tragedy doesn't just come from the biggest drops or the gnarliest lines but also from somewhere we least expect it. Always remember to keep safe no matter the ride.
