Yeah. I agree. I’m 5’11” and in between sizes on almost every brand. I prefer boutique bikes but I end up on Trek and Specialized because of the M/L and S4 options.

Uh yeah that’s not true. There is ton of “winch and plummet” riding in NA. Like most of Pisgah, a ton of Colorado, most of the good riding around the Tetons, a ton in California, etc etc etc.

i knew the bike industry wasn't doing well and that the Discovery deal was going to have a negative effect on racing, but this is getting ridiculous.

i just can't give a shit about any content from kaz or quinney since the "talk shit on influencers" episode. I don't particularly care about influencers, although I like a good occasional nate hills or remy metailler vid, and often watch trail preview vids before I hit a new area. BUT...the gatekeeping and elitism in MTB is the absolute worst thing about mountain biking, to the point that I quit working in the industry because I was sick of hearing it all the time. I've been a long time avid pinkbike reader, and I'm about to peace out permanently due to the comments in that podcast. just super condescending and tonedeaf and absolutely unnecessary. I don't race and don't really care about racing, and while I enjoyed watching redbull UCI DH, I ride for fun, and the "you're not a real biker unless you're a racer" stuff is absolute b u l l s h i t.

post concussion syndrome is the worst. been dealing with it for 15 months now. every time you think you're better, all of a sudden you get knocked on your ass by just...living normal life. you look fine so people treat you like you're making it up, meanwhile, it's a struggle to just do normal life stuff.
