Norco Optic Carbon

$1500 GBP
The perfect UK trail bike. 29" Wheels. 140mm front, 125mm rear. Winner of the 2019 Pinkbike Mountain Bike of the Year award. Lightweight, poppy but enduro bike features (65 degree head angle, piggyback shock, 4 piston brakes, enduro tyres). I don't really want to let it go but needs must. I've owned this from new. It hasn't been ridden much for the last two years as I've got eMTB and this hasn't had a look in. The front had a black vinyl wrap on it until last week so the front triangle is in really good condition, and has polished up nicely. The rear end (which is alloy) is a slightly more tatty paint wise, but has had clear tape on it which has taken most of the scrapes. You could take this off and the paint would be pretty good underneath. I've done the following to prepare it for sale, with 0 miles on the following: -Brand new drivetrain (cassette, chain, chainring) -New gear cable and dropper cable -Dropper post service (new cartridge) -Brake bleed with full flush front and -rear -Brand new grips Running like new, super crisp shifting, braking and a silent ride. Spec as follows: Fork: Rockshox Pike Select (replaced by TFTuned under warranty about 200 miles ago so almost mint) Shock: Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Wheels: DMR Zone Cassette: XT 11 speed Chain: XT Chainring: Superstar components Crank: XTR 9020 Rear derailleur: XT 11 speed Shifter: XTR 11 speed Tyes: Minion DHF/High Roller II Bar and stem: DMR Defy/Wingbar Brakes: Shimano Deore BR-MT420/BL-M4100 Dropper: X Fusion Manic Saddle: DMR OiOi Bad bits: Chip in the top tube from a bike rack Couple of dents in rear wheel Pedals not included Collection from Hove or can post at cost.

@jgottya1: I do agree, but that is a bi-product of many protests and demonstrations. That takes nothing away from the cause. As Eliot Jackson put it as an analogy: when Stevie Smith died, we didn't say "oh what a tragedy BUT what was he doing riding a motorcycle that was reckless". No, we said "that was a horrible thing that happened". The fact that looting has happened has had zero effect on the fact that racial equality is worth fighting for. Finally, I would say that the protests are not about "honouring a fallen man", they are about making the world stand up and listen so there aren't more fallen men in these circumstances in the future.

@sadfusde: The reason I'm even replying is because one of the biggest problems with our society is assuming there isn't a problem because we can't see it. And no, getting a degree or becoming an engineer isn't proof that there isn't racism in your society.

@sadfusde: it would be interesting to hear if your BAME friends share that viewpoint. I would bet against it.

The trouble when you say #alllivesmatter is that you are denouncing the struggle of those from BAME backgrounds. By making that statement you are effectively saying that what they experience is not because of the colour of their skin. Frankly, we have to treat BAME indivuals differently and say "you have been persecuted for too long". To carry on as we are is refusal to accept there is a problem. As white individuals, the fact that we can go through life and not see any problems before they are shoved in our face is evidence of white privilege in itself.

Unfortunately it has gotten to the point when simply asking for a change of attitude to their lives isn't cutting it anymore. You can only ask for so long before you start shouting.
