SRAM X01 Drivetrain - Review
After looking at the cost of XO1 I decided just to go all out and get XX1. There isn't enough of a savings. Might as well have the top of the line, and I like the option of going to a 28 tooth ring.

SRAM XX1 Drivetrain Review
Yep, just waiting for an X9 level version. I ride where there are too many branches, sticks and rocks to have a $300 derailleur hanging off the bottom of my bike! I'll buy a X9 level XX1 day one SRAM, day one. Make it happen, the money is waiting to be spent. I've broken too many derailleurs over the years to buy the highest end ones. I just can't justify it. But X9 level, again, day one.

Bell Full 9 Helmet: First Look
I have a nice scar on my chin from a Bell Moto 5. Wasn't the helmet's fault. I over-jumped a double by 40 feet or so. haha

Inside SRAM's 11-speed rear hub and XD Driver
I'd actually like a X9 version myself. I don't like the idea of a $350 rear derailleur hanging off the back of my frame picking up sticks! I've broken enough $100 X9s to know it happens more often than you'd like. ...and I'm not super well funded, but since I don't race MX anymore, the cost of mountain biking seems manageable even when buying all the best stuff.

I'm all over this xx1 as soon as I can get my hands on it. No need to have a front derailleur/shifter. Love it! I'm not too stoked that I need to buy a different hub or freehub for it however. I don't see the need for that 10 tooth anyway. Oh well it is what it is.

SRAM XX1 Eleven Speed Group - First Ride
The whole kit is about $1150 on Universal (with an optional extra chainring) and the 15% discount. I'm sure the price will come down still too in time. I don't think the price is that ridiculous.

Not great for steep uphills or steep downhills either. They have their place, it's just not where I ride.
