First Look: 2022 Orbea Rise Hydro - More Range at a Lower Cost
I really think this lightweight ebike concept has something going for it. I demoed a Specialized Turbo Levo SL, expepecting to be thoroughly unimpressed, but boy was I wrong. It feels like riding a normal mountain bike, just with permanently good legs, so you get longer rides and more fun. And for transport to the trailhead I’d imagine it would be great as well since you can just use full power on your bike instead of a car. I really think these should be called hybrid bikes instead since it feels just like a normal bike, but with some ebike juice when you need it, although it never becomes overpowering like a full-on ordinary ebike can be.

Pole Bicycles' CEO Resigns, Company Founder Leo Kokkonen to Take Leading Role
Ah, the Pinkbike peanut gallery, where the it’s more important to have a CEO that is charismatic rather than one that builds good bikes. When the Rocky Mountain broke in the same Pinkbike field test they released a statement saying literally nothing else than "Yeah, we might look into it, I dunno", yet the peanut gallery praised it as the epitome of good customer service. Pole admitted to making a mistake and explained why, and that is much preferrable to yet another public relations-shill with an empty corporate response.

2019 Pinkbike Awards: Suspension Product of the Year
@SintraFreeride: Yeah Mondraker was the real innovatør here, but Pole did it different from Porter by using bigger wheels, longer offset forks, and higher(!) bottom brackets, and even slacker angles.

@WasatchEnduro: Obviously that’s not what I’m saying, but if you go back 5 years who do you think was right about the future of bikes? Leo or "everyone else"?

And for those who are interested in the Pole vs. Vorsprung part can find it here. Leo isn’t unreasonable in my opinion. He thinks different, but thats what has brought geometry forward so tremendously the last few years. Everyone is approaching Evolink-numbers now. https://nsmb.com/articles/vorsprung-tuesday-tune-advanced-bike-geometry-ii/

Dude, that is just how finns are. I have some finnish colleagues, and they are a great and proud people who like to do things the "finnish way". So don't take offense, but rather learn to understand them and you will see that while they may come off as arrogant, it’s just because they like to see things done properly and right.
