Canyon Bicycles Signs as Official Sponsor for the 2026 Hard MTB League
Excluding capable riders who want to participate, but inviting a pinkbike commenter to participate so you have someone to laugh at. Pretty lame.

Hard MTB League Welcomes Ari Bikes as an Official Sponsor for 2026
@braydonbr: So the application was the real qualifier. That makes this ‘qualifier’ invite only. It looked like a cool new format that suited my skill set and I wanted to participate when I heard there was a qualifier. Not in a position to spend a bunch of money traveling the country to build up my race resume. There’s no real opportunity to qualify for HardMTB and I have no interest in it now. Good luck.

Hard MTB League Welcomes Ari Bikes as an Official Sponsor for 2026
@braydonbr: It’s not a qualifier if you have to be invited. Guess I have to start working on my Pinkbike comments to get in.

They’ll just complain about the short chainstay the whole time. Probably best to keep Pinkbike reviewers away from it.

Review: The New Pivot Firebird is Well Balanced & Refined
@englertracing: Cool, you used to manual… I can manual a longer chainstay bike, and corner a shorter chainstay bike. I prefer shorter chainstays, and it would suck if every bike became the same. Hopefully there’s options in the future and all bikes don’t become geometron buses.

Review: The New Pivot Firebird is Well Balanced & Refined
@englertracing: Or people who like to manual a lot, and know how to weight their bike properly in a corner. It’s mostly the slow plonkers praising the long chainstays. Shorter stays are more fun for me unless I’m only using the bike for racing.

Review: The New Pivot Firebird is Well Balanced & Refined
@Jordmackay: That sounds like a horrible bike to ride unless you’re 7’ tall

Buy one of the million other bikes available with a long chainstay then. I’m glad there’s still options with a reasonable chainstay length.

First Ride: The 2025 Transition Sentinel is 29" and MX-Capable
How long of a chain stay do you need? Xxl with a 530 reach with a 448 chain stay is a massive bike. Wish the chain stay was a little shorter on the large. Every new bike has massive chain stays and people still complain. Meanwhile tallish people that prefer shorter stays really are being forgotten about.

Clemens Kaudela Airlifted from Rampage after Practice Crash
@Usurlgs: What about Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness? Healthcare should be a right. Let insurance companies dictate how we live our lives and we have no freedom. If you get your way it would almost kill mountain biking overnight.
