What’s cool is that he resides on a small Gulf island that I won’t name outright, here in coastal BC. I lived on that island for several years when I came from the east and have ridden a steel hard tail over every trail on that island. It’s a magical place.!

How To Pick A Safer Helmet - According To Science
As a bike courier in Toronto in the mid 90’s I went through a windshield of a car headfirst that did a u turn in the middle of a busy street. Was only wearing a Canadian Armed Forces wool tanker cap. So lucky that I had a hard head. No head trauma but taught me a valuable lesson. Started wearing helmets regularly, cool factor notwithstanding. Fast forward to present mountain biking on Vancouver Island for 20 years. Very grateful for the Giro with MIPS that saved my noggin on a couple spills. Sometimes it’s just dumb luck, most of the times it’s quality equipment.

Chromag Announces New Rootdown Hardtail
Loved my V1 Rootdown circa 2015. Was going to get a new one but pressfit. Got a Norco Torrent ST instead but I’d get another Rootdown with the threaded bb.
