There's a New Aluminum Version of the Trek Slash
@MrDiamondDave: Trek is making 18.5 for most of their carbon frames now. It's why I own a '17 Fuel 9 instead of a 9.8 or 9.7. Funny though, I rented my son a 17.5 Remedy 8 (27.5) at Copper Harbor and it fit me very well. What a great bike!

Video: Chatting With Seth's Bike Hacks
you say he has no skill. That's part of the allure. He is better than he used to be. He tries to improve. Also, Seth is better than most riders, that's how many people ride. Most people don't wear knee pads, btw. That comment alone is beyond weird, and I don't think you realize how douchey that sounds

One Last Walk Through the Biggest Bike Show in California - Sea Otter 2018
Looks like a Rock Razr, which isn't a bad thing. I was going to go with Bontragers SE4 2.6 for front but they don't have a rear specific tread, yet. Are these a true 2.6 or are they a touch smaller? I will be mounting to a 29mm internal diameter.

Ion's Range of Shoes Takes Flat Pedal Grip Seriously
Looks identical to Bontragers new flats, specifically the tread. If the price was better they`d get a try. Edit: nevermind, just looked at the Bontragers and they are close but not the same. I might have the Ions confused with either the new Giro or Specialized I was looking at in a shop last week.

Pinkbike Poll - Would You Take a Free 250 Watts if No One Knew?
@2003Rider: oh, you're new here. Yeah, he comes with the website. You'll get used to him, and you'll see many of his comments are understandable in the way acid trips are. But, he does get serious every now and then, and in those moments you'll be enlightened. Eventually you'll get to see his illustrations and parodies and you'll be entertained probably. He's a devoted mtb'er and a devoted commentor and I appreciate that.

Moto Cross-Pollination at Fox Head - Interview
Does anyone know what the other brand "in-house" is that was referenced in the article? I have tried many brands since starting this hobby. I never worry about the quality of Fox stuff and don't mind paying the small premium. Every other year I get new Fox socks, this years just arrived last week.

Should the Derailleur Die? Zerode's Gearbox-Equipped Taniwha - Review
@aljoburr: Holy hell, nearly the entire article is about the weight and it's effect. You could probably find out in 30 seconds of reading, unless it takes you 2 minutes to read 1 sentence.

First Ride: 2019 RockShox Lyrik RC2
@btjenki: I bought my 2017 Trek Fuel EX the 2nd week of July, 2016. What bikes do in regard to model years is no different than what car/truck makers do. The biggest bike makers have access to the factories in Taiwan before the smaller ones do, which is how I got my 2017 in July 2016 with a FIT4 Fox fork several months before the FIT4 was available to the public. If enough OEM's spec the bike with the Lyric there may not be enough available to sell aftermarket, which was the case with the FIT4; the FIT4 was spec'd enough that it was hard to get several months after it was supposed to be available to the public. If the new Lyric is available to the public before it appears on OEM bikes this summer it may be that it wasn't spec'd on many of the bigger bike co's.
