no they can use the gondola. The race is very competitive and the top riders actually dont take any brakes for 24 hours! Some of them even take a dump in the gondola cabin while going up.

I am sorry to dissapoint you guys but i´m afraid there is some other guy that might hold an "unofficial" record. There is a 24h Downhill race at bikepark Semmering every year. The winners of the elite category (single rider) normally manage around 155 laps in 24h. This equals 54250 vertical meters or 177 985,564 vertical ft !
Thats about 65% more than Reg and Kram did !

Sequence: Cam Zink Backflip off the Sender!
Zink and Mcgarry got robbed ! Straits run was super fast and burly but that backflip down the sender was wilder than everything i`ve ever seen on to wheels. When Zink was waiting for his run at the top i was more nervous than when Steve Smith dorpped in at World Cup finals in Leogang.
