More than tires and suspension getting too soft in the winter, I feel like its a bigger issue in the summer. I've noticed that my suspension sometimes feels harsh after leaving my bike in my truck all day in the sun. PV=nRT is a way to see what is happening. For a shock, assuming regular air and a 90x32mm air chamber my bike might have 250psi in my 65degF garage, then 266psi if it heats up to 100degF in the sun, then back to 260psi after riding and it cooling off a bit. Those seem like big enough swings to justify what I feel. https://www.gigacalculator.com/calculators/ideal-gas-law-calculator.php It also seems easy to notice how fast my dropper returns in the summer vs the fall or how sluggish it is in the winter.

10 Things I Loved in 2023: Sarah Moore

This is one of my favorite year end lists. I imagine that so many of the readers also have to balance work/partners/kids and I love that you embraced showing that side. Sometimes I'm bummed that I can only squeeze in a 1 hour "lunch ride", but then it turns into a race against myself to see if I can squeeze in that extra 2 mile section and still make it if I haul a$$! Great article and it good to have you back Sarah!

Video: The Final Chapter - Pinkbike Racing S2E5

Its been a fun series to watch. You're honesty and candor with your audience cannot have been easy but it was appreciated. While its hard to see something you have worked so hard for slip out of your grasp, its something that so many of us have to deal with as we get older, gain more commitments outside of bikes and have injuries stack up against us and I suspect you'll be able to grow from this. I wish you all the best in you upcoming treatments to try to take ahold of your own mind, and look forward to any content you see fit to make (its always good stuff coming from you). Thank you for giving us all such an honest look into racing, riding, injury and recovery, and balancing our passions with our lives. Ride on, but lets keep the rubber side down for a while ;)
