Interview: Dr. Chris Leatt on the Neck Brace, Collarbone Breaks, Safety Over Fashion & More
I’m pretty certain that my neck brace saved me from very serious injury a few years back. Got away with 6months of physio and 18months of a sore neck. I’ve gotten pretty slack wearing it recently & should start again. I think the rise of Enduro has hurt the use of braces. A few years ago you would have seen 80% DH rigs at Whistler, now it’s probably more like 30/40%. A few side points; - I’d like info on the efficacy of braces paired with Enduro FF helmets. Also manufacture info per helmet of whether brace use is recommended with that model. - Personal opinion, even after years of wearing a brace strapped down, I still notice it & don’t like it. - I’ve seen those kids fusion neck vests & id like an adult equivalent.

Britain to Remove Tariffs on Non-EU Bicycles in Event of No-Deal Brexit
@jclnv: You keep referring to English vote, England leaving and England before the EU. Can England just fuck off with all its little Englanders and leave the rest of us in the EU then please. You can all apply for visas when you want to come ride in Scotland or Wales.

@bowski123: You should probably learn to read and write before engaging in a written argument.

Britain to Remove Tariffs on Non-EU Bicycles in Event of No-Deal Brexit
@jclnv: “Life experience” otherwise read as miserable old twats. Taking away opportunities from the youth of today that they have benefited from their entire adult lives. Remembering a time before the EU, bollocks. The UK joined the EU in 1973 before the vast majority of the UK population were economically active, so their rose tinted memories of a time before the EU are playing in the street. I suppose mobile phones, play stations, the demise of the milk man are all the fault of the EU too? Over & above all the economic arguments & hidden racist agendas I’ll just leave this here ... 74 years of peace.

Video: Kirk McDowall Slips & Slides Down The Pinkbike Hot Lap
Kirk was a legend that day and filled out water bottles up for us after they had leaked all over the car. We promised him we'd comment that it was a hard day to ride Cakewalk. It was, the roots were slippier than an otters pocket and I think we crawled down in about 15mins.

Sam Hill & CRC Mavic Show Off 2018 Bikes & Team Kit [Updated: More Images of Sam's Bike]
Sam Hill could ride a shopping trolley quicker & more stylishly than most people at your local woods. Not sure it’s a relevant comparison.

Pinion Gearbox to Enter US and Canada
I'm not against gearboxes, particularly with the potential benefits for suspension and handling performance. I just think they have some way to go before they are viable competition for derailleurs. What i really want though is an e-bike with a diesel generator to power the battery and a throttle.

Aaron Gwin – The Interview
Never been a Gwin fan because of all the Jesus bullshit but definitely have a newfound respect for him now. Incredible story.
