Here's the thing about the lugged and glued frames: so far, these constructions use rounds tubes. Round tubes are not optimized for the loads that bicycles encounter especially at joints/intersections. The plumbing type lugs don't spread the loads efficiently, so you over build the tubes and lugs (heavy) or end up weak and flexy. When will manufacturers start using otimized tube shpes in lugged conctruction?
