Pinkbike Poll: Is It Still a Mountain Bike If It Has a Motor?
@WAKIdesigns: My point is - it is easy to modify or convert any bike with the motor - pedal assist or not into high power throttle bike.
Here is only one example with 2 sec of searching. There will be more kits and modifications on the market very quickly.

Pinkbike Poll: Is It Still a Mountain Bike If It Has a Motor?
@mikelevy: i think the criteria has to be modification. No matter what you do to a bike you can not make it go 40 mph up hill - eagle or no eagle :). E bikes have an electric motor and therefore can be easily modified to have more power and go faster. What do we all do when we buy a shiny new bike - modify it. Carbon wheels, new drivetrain, lighter parts - all to go faster. What does every car/ motocycle enthusiast do witht the motor- modify it. I know for sure if i had one (e bike) i would be going off jumps at 40 mph and powering through turns spinning tires. E- bikes belong on motocross trails. It is the best way to bring motocross back - quite and no smoke

Pivot Switchblade - First Look
I wonder what did Pivot gain by introducing this new standard. Everybody was expecting long travel 29er with modern geometery from them. They finally delivered - why kill the excitement with the new stamdard and no framesets available for sale? (Untill next year i hear) I wonder if they went the way of Hightower - 1x drivetrain, 148 spacing and $2500 frame - similar to what they did with 429trail - the best selling bike in their lineup- whoul they have achieved more sales and less controversy. Why mess with success?

ALL DONE: Ask Us Anything with WTB -Tubeless Technology
Hi, Love your WTB frequency 25 rims... Any plans to go wider with those rims... If yes - How wide? would you say 40mm (derby style) rims will improve or hurt traction with 2.3-2.4 trail tires?
