Awesome to see Cedric back and looking as stylish as always. Doesn't hurt that he's on the nicest looking bike I've ever seen.

Thx Kramster, CG is the man!

HE SIGNED MY SHIRT!! I was so stoked!

Waiting for a PB review is killing me! The Emerald looked so stiff in those gnar sections and was able to keep a higher speed. Thanks DVO for bringing what looks to be a sick invert fork!
  • 19 0
Thanks buddy! We are planning to have a PB suspension test soon.
  • 7 1
 I hope you're planning a 160 mm inverted.....hint hint

I reeeally like the idea of moto whoops for dh racing!! I hope it catches on and we start to see it s'more.

I freakin LOVE when companies pay attention to what people say and take the time to reply! To me, it proves that you are pationate about your product, you care about what every joe has to say, and most importantly are willing to reply to both positive and negative feedback with with out hesitating and with class. These are the kind of companies that make it big. I wish you guys the best of luck.

very well said man and for those reasons I'm willing to dish out the cash to get that suspension on my bike...how long now has the dh crowd been asking for a stiffer inverted/moto fork ???...the DVO outfit is all class and I'll order mine as soon as they're confident that their products are ready to hit the market...way to go DVO !!!...been waiting for this !!!...

It should say something that DVO is so confident in its product they were willing to do a public testing release, most suspension companies have failures in their prototypes, even in the forks they produce. Regardless of the beating that CG gives it the only things being changed are rebound and compression. If a company is so confident in their product that not only do they go public but they publish actual riding footage this early in the development, their confidence alone should build trust between you and their product.

Dear DVO, I was hoping to see the fork at work, not being styled over jumps. That video was not about the fork.

There were a few shots early on where the rider is coming towards the camera and I'm hoping to see the fork working and up close and then the camera PANS AWAY.

At 2.33 the rider comes up to some stutter bumps and I think "Here we go, let's watch the fork handle those.' and you EDIT IT OUT, and then edit in the rider manualling the stutters!! Why would you do that?

I didn't learn much from the interview either. Well, nothing I wouldn't expect a sponsored rider to say anyway.

DVO, I want to see this fork maintaining a level ride height over stutters, I want to see it keeping the wheel on the ground through a rooty corner, I want to see it soak up some big hits and absorb the chattery small stuff. I want to see a video where the fork is the star. There are a few elements of this, but they are few and far between and poorly shot.

I think there are many of us that want to learn more about this fork, other than it has green anodized bits on it.

Chris, thanks for taking the time to lets us know what ya want to see and we agree that would make for some nice suspension action. We shot a lot of footage from PA and plan on making an edit with that in mind. The riding action from CG really shows the fork being pushed at a World Cup level and we actually learned a ton from that. The mid valve works as designed to keep the suspension from blowing through the travel, that was a key request from CG during development. We will work on putting together an edit that strictly focuses on suspension action. Thanks buddy!

At 2:28 bryson jr comes in a stutter section where you can see the fork action really well. We've watched that footage many times over analyzing the rebound and compression tempo. We will pump out some more vids. Just wanted to show everyone that the product is rideable and ready for action. Not bad for 10 months!

I don't think you should feel obligated to respond to comments like that...
  • 10 1
 lol. customer service in action

 We totally agree!

They definitely should reply to boner comments.

Make a 4", 6", and 7" single crown version. I miss the Dorado and Shiver SC forks, inverted is the way to go regardless of travel or intended discipline. Oil constantly soaking seals and bushings is a big +.
  • 5 0
I'm really looking forward to some independent tests when the fork is available on the free market...
  • 7 0
 Long live the 'Shiver'!
  • 6 0
cant wait to get the fork
  • 13 1
 Neither can FOX, RS, marzocchi

 So true!

I am really looking forward to the release of this fork, the reviews, and test that everyone is going to want to put it through. It is nice to see a company jump in at the top of the market with Confidence and style, making the big three stop and say WTF just happened. I will start saving nickels and dimes now I really want this to be my next fork. As of now, Job well done DVO!

Thanks c-rod, we plan on doing what we know best and lets see how the big boys react. Hopefully they'll step it up! Competition is a good thing, it makes for better products and we plan to raise the bar in all directions including customer service and education. Cheers, DVO.

True and they should also do a gold anodized one like the pro circuit moto forks
www.procircuit.com/suspension.htm
  • 2 0
Gold uppers are definitely on our list of colors to bring out. The all black fork looks cool but doesn't stand out as well as we would like. Maybe gold will be the option? Feedback please!
  • 1 0
Yes to GOLD! with polished black anodised triple clamps. Gold and green logos on the Carbon Arch. Or even have a super high end product with carbon uppers like the old Dorado's with gold anodised triples.
  • 2 0
I don't know how much more it costs on your end to have multiple anodized colors but it'd be neat to have options. That dark gold on the fork in that link looks great. As I recall White Brothers had red and blue anodized options on one of their older forks that looked pretty unique. I guess I'd have to see it first to judge it, personally.
  • 2 0
Antron, check out our Face Book page and we will post some different color options that "may" be available. It's not a lot more expensive to produce colors but a little harder to inventory from a global perspective but we agree, additional colors would be sweet and we are looking at offering them. Cheers, DVO

a pro circuit like scheme would look so good, thats what I'd buy if i had the choice between black, green or that.
  • 2 0
Check our FB page later today, we just did some renderings and they look really sick! Pro Circuit moto style and a kinda flat white scheme. Thx Guys! DVO!
  • 1 0
white cvt lowers look good with the gold uppers, but the white crowns and dropouts, too much white!

I order a DVO hat and T-shirt an saving up for the fork. I like to see in the near future when pinkbike go to Whistler and Count's the forks come down the hill and see if DVO come out on top against Fox's RS an Marzocchi fork!!
  • 2 0
Thanks for supporting us, It's really appreciated! We definitely want to be a major player in Whistler, we don't want to be the biggest, just the best! Cheers, DVO

You should see the demonstration I saw at Sea Otter that impressed me. JP put the front tire between his legs and tried to move the bars. Not only super stiff but when he released the bars it snapped instantly back to center. Very impressive. Makes for a true tracking fork not wandering all over but snapping back to attention for the next hit.

I really think its great to see DVO taking feedback from people. U guys are the first people i have seen taking feedback from people on pinkbike. I think that really goes a long way. Props!!

 Thanks for proper music Smile
  • 2 0
I just hope the price of DVO its going to be acceptable, as all said before, I think I should give it a try and hopefully like it, love it and KEEP IT.

The Emerald utilizes the highest quality components along with a lot if technology. We wanted to develop a product that will raise the bar for performance, durability and reliability. It won't be on the cheap side but certainly be in line with the quality and support you will receive from us. We hope to earn you as a customer soon!

I think this is the best part about DVO, if i buy fox 40's then i feal like another number to their tally, not a customer. Once ive bought fox 40's i have nothing to do with the company at all, until i buy again. The customer never interacts with the company so to speak.

Thanks for your support and we are stoked to be connected to everyone. Awesome customer seriously missing in the suspension business and we plan change that! Cheers, DVO.

  • 1 0
 Thanks buddy, we totally agree.
  • 1 0
Hey DVO suspension, Since your Green fork is called the emarld, Why not make a red one called The Ruby, A blue one called sapphire??? I think its a cool idea.
  • 1 0
That's awesome and we are definitely headed in that direction with some of our other products. The precious gem theme and corresponding color is a nice match. Cheers, DVO
  • 1 0
Carbon is still Carbon - no matter how you gems it up. can't have enough carbon.
  • 1 0
i want to get one but i hope you make it affordable so it can be wallet friendly and bust the balls out of fox and rockshox at the same time.
  • 1 0
We plan to do some busting for sure, just hopefully it's not your wallet! All the DVO products are made from the highest quality components and with that said, it's not going to be on the cheap side but well worth the price. Cheers, DVO
