Men's Category of Slopestyle Will Not Proceed - Crankworx Rotorua 2024 [Updated with FMBA Statement]
Rider made 3 extremely reasonable demands
- 32,000 fixed “turn up” bonus given to all riders + alternates
- Free accomodation (it would be very easy for crankworx to outsource this to a local buisness in exchange for publicity)
- ride before noon.
Now do you really think these are unreasonable demands?
Side note: don’t want to bash this managing director guy but I can guarantee he’s on a fat salary

emils runs are always amazing but i feel at some point he needs to add more variations than just reg/opp 360s. to be fair he did add in a 720 and a flip at the start of this run but not in Cairns or Rotorua. just my 2 cents

@BenPea: I never said he wasn't I have no doubt in my mind that CG was a great rider unfortunately being a great rider doesn't mean your going to be a good commentator and this is clearly evident. CG does not have the same relationship with current-day riders as Warner had. TBH besides that hes pretty good but that rich dude can get lost he does my head in. I think a solution going forward is to invite riders that are injured or unable to race to commentate alongside CG for example gwin didn't race, maybe Amury (2 Frenchies would do my head in) or even Ben cathro lmao. i think Crankworx did this for the slopestyle a couple of times with Nicolai could be wrong tho or maybe it was Lemoine?

I'm sorry but all these 2 do is repeat themselves, give basic information, and fake yell. It's genuinely like they are only there to get paid not cause they are passionate about the sport. I remember in previous years that Warnner would give so much background information that one cant deduct from a stream such as "spoke to her earlier today and she said that she is struggling a lot with that bottom woods section" or "Bruni had a small crash yesterday and seemed to be in a little bit of pain" these guys legit just go "she is on a mission" (CG) then 5 seconds later the rich guy will be like "she's going for the win today" like no shit that's the idea of racing to go for the win.
