Throwback Thursday: 'Life Cycles' - The Greatest Mountain Bike Movie Ever Made?
Got baited by the title to come post just this. Dave Watson's wheelie turn has lived rent free in my head for 25 years.

Dylan Tremblay’s Barefoot-Tested, Early-2000s Spec'd Dream Rig
I'm old enough to have ridden a pair of 24" Kujo's on my Balfa Minuteman with a bolted arch Z1 qr20, but apparently not old enough to have known they were shit.
They were a bit of a must have tire from that era. And 3" Gazzaloddis...

Apr 18, 20266 Bike Mammoth Mounts - Great Condition
$800 CAD6 Bike Mammoth Mounts rack in great condition with 1 DH bracket. This is a great rack, so much so that we have two. Turns out we don't need two...
Rack is in great condition with only one small rub mark on the main mast.

5 bike recon rack with fixed plates. We opted for fixed plates to mount on a swing out and eliminate extra play from the pivot. Rack is in great condition with no rust and very little wear.

Pinkbike Poll: How Easy (or Hard) Is It to Work On Your Bike?
Can confirm this to not be the case for most of the people I know that ride. Hell, most shop employees can't even lace a wheel anymore.

Aug 31, 2022Trek Slash 9.8 - 19.5"
$1500 CAD2015 Trek Slash 9.8
19.5" Frame
This bike is from 2015 but embarrassingly it's been collecting dust since the start of the 2020 season.
It's been well ridden and is priced accordingly. It doesn't need any work before taking it for a ride if you're not picky - I'm not.
This is a 19.5" frame with a 450mm reach that is ideally suited for riders around 5'10" plus or minus a few inches. I'm 6'1" and always thought it was a fun bike but I tend to ride smaller bikes.
Stock build and all parts are original with the exception of a brand new chainstay.
Notable areas you may want to consider servicing in the off season:
-Reverb post sags
-Rear hub bearings are really rough
-Chain stretch shows 0.5 (time to replace the chain but the cassette is fine)
-Grips have that ODI sticky thing going for them - if you know, you know
-Tires are shralped
-Suspension could probably use some service over the winter
-A chainstay protector would probably be a good add before the new stay gets chipped up
I consider all of those items general wear and tear so you're still looking at a great deal on a bike that you can repair as funds allow.
Will consider trades for professional interior painting and/or deck staining.

Jun 29, 2022Trek Session 8 XL (450mm Reach)
$3200 CAD2021 Trek Session 8 Size XL
A super fun bike just in time for bike park season!
Size XL with a 450mm reach rides closer to a large frame. Slate grey frame looks great - unless you're into bright colours.
Upgrades:
Charger 2.1 Damper (coupled with the Debonair means this is a Boxxer WC without the striped decals)
Code RSC w/ 200mm rotors (stop faster)
27.5x2.5 Assegai front and rear (grip better)
The rest of the build is stock.
