Video: Josh Bryceland's First Ride on a Cannondale Habit
@jaame: whilst the value of social media may be hard to quantify, in today's world what other options do you have for promoting your brand? Print? TV? Demo days? All the other options cannot come close to the reach and cost of social media. How much did those 40,000 views cost Cannondale? Very very little. Sure a fair chunk are bots, and an even bigger chunk "school kids on breaks" but that's fine. If someone turns up to the local bike park with the new Cannondale that Josh rides and all the "school kids who were on breaks that can't afford the bike" are asking about it and saying it's cool, then it validates that purchase for the owner. This respect then permeates to other people who are in a position to become potential owners. Also there is a podcast (HKT?) With Josh, he talks about how he was salaried by SC after he stopped racing, so more than just "a few frames a year".

Exclusive: Richie Rude & Jared Graves Failed Drug Test at EWS France
They have been caught failing the drug test. There is no speculation on that aspect, only fact. Whether or not it was intentional isn't clear, but either way they need to be punished to set an example. Simply accepting "I didn't know I was taking it" allows carte blanche for anyone to use that excuse and the EWS will end up like the Tour.

@general-lee: you either "maintain a zero tolerance approach to drug taking " or you don't. There's no halfway.

Exclusive: Richie Rude & Jared Graves Failed Drug Test at EWS France
From the EWS 2018 Rulebook: (cached as the live is 404) https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:v7xQkyRDkRYJ:https://www.enduroworldseries.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/EWS_Rules_2018_compressed.pdf+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk "a ny cyclist, regardless of cycling discipline, who has previously been found guilty by any court or regulatory body of anyuse of or involvement with banned, performance enhancing drugs will not be entitled to compete ortake part in any Enduro World Series event" As sad as it is, this really needs to be a career ending decision by the riders if the EWS has any chance of trying to maintain a clean reputation.

Ask Pinkbike: Ripmo or Smuggler, Powerful Brakes & Tough Tires
@aps62: I found that Hopes are incredibly sensitive to setup. Went from Shimano to E4 and had the same thoughts as you. It's vital to get a good bleed and the calipers properly lined up. Even then they never feel quite as crisp as Shimano but it's possible to get them close with patience.
