US Open Returns to Killington in 2024
Goat skull is for sure an amazing trail but it seems like they groom it more and more every year. Whole sections of rocks and roots turned into flow, hopefully they leave it alone and keep what tech is left.

A Clear Path Forward For The Vermont Mountain Bike Association
@rip8569: 100% agree. All these new trails or trail systems are amazing, but most end up being wide, smooth, flow trails with few features. They help people get into the sport, and it gives beginners fun trails to ride all over the place! But, I do wish a larger percentage of new trails could be intermediate/expert rake and ride style trails with natural features. This is all hear say keep in mind but it makes total sense; a club near me primarily focuses on some public land owned by a town/city. I have heard that some officials in that municipality have specifically said that trails on the public land must be built by “professional trail builders” and features can’t be overly dangerous. I assume this is to prevent injuries and in the end keep any sort of lawsuit from happening. It’s too bad people have to worry about that happening.

A Clear Path Forward For The Vermont Mountain Bike Association
Franklin county mountain bike club member here! Super happy with the progress with the club over the last 5 years, it basically went from nothing to something big for the county in little time. Trail work days, group rides, new trails, events and sponsors have all happened and are only getting better. Vmba as whole has obviously helped make this happen along with some dedicated leaders in the club, and It is all very appreciated! But you are right, it’s hard in our area to push more trails/trail systems as most large land owners don’t care about anything but hunting, sugaring or farming. I get it; as a sugarmaker and a hunter I obviously understand how large landowners think it’s crazy to open your land to the public to recreate and we have to respect it. Luckily the sport is growing in our county thanks to vmba and fcmtbc! So let’s keep spreading the word about the club and take the momentum we have and get Franklin county on the map in vermont for mountain biking!

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 80 - The Best Vehicles for Mountain Bikers
Love my element. Fits two bikes with just taking off front wheel. Always under cover. Always locked away safe. Plastic/rubber everything so I don’t even think about mud. And it’s 4wd! I will be looking for another element if this one dies.

Norco Sasquatch, dirt/urban bike

$1000 USD
Im selling my 2003 Norco Sasquatch that I bought new in 2004. Since then I have turned it into a street/urban bike with many upgrades. The fork is a Pike 426 i bought brand new. Adjustable travel 80mm-120mm with lockout, awesome fork. The wheels I strung myself and had tightened at a bikeshop. Alex DX-32s with xt hub in rear and Bombproof 20mm hub in front. New hayes nines hydrolics with hope gothic 8 inch rotors New FSA headset and BB Single speed conversion kit that works fine but could use some fine tuning Only thing missing is pedals and grips. Awesome bike, I built this bike and learned to ride on it, just dont live in Burlington anymore or go to college so I dont ride it anymore. It would make someone an awesome street/dirt bike, or a college commuter while still being able to have some fun. Bikes in great shape, very tight, few scratches. The paint is custom done by an auto body shop, It was properly sanded, primed and PPG paint was used, the clear coat that was put on can easily be roughed off and this paint CAN be painted over, thats why I used PPG paint. So if you dont like the paint it can be easily painted over. Give me a call or text at 802-782-9101 I live in Northern VT by the canadian border but I would be willing to drive upto 2 hrs away to meet you. 1000 obo
