Good Ideas Executed Poorly - Opinion
Centerlock just has poor trailside (or weekend trip / holiday) repairability. hex or torx keys are always there, but the cassette tool?

Ask Pinkbike: A Slippery Wheel, A Used Bike that's Too Good to Be True and the Elusive Alloy DH 29er
Plus side on owned bikes is they have already some use, so the first nick you make doesn't hurt as much. Makes careless riding much more fun :)

Here's My Zerode Taniwha Test Bike - Tell Me What You Want to Know
Had a Pinion touring bike once, sold it because I didn't like it. It just didn't feel nice. Shifting sucked, I never liked the fact that you have you take power off the pedals to make it shift. Engagement sucked big time, the crank has a freewheel machanism in it with way too little engagement points. Those two points asnnoyed me on a bike that was ridden on road 99% of the time, I imagine them to be even more annoying off road.

The Outlier - The Full Story of the Wild Insolent DH Bike
Real nice bike, although I have some concerns that rear shock servicing might suck a bit. Really curious how he's planning to do an enduro version. Where's the seat tube (or the seat post) gonna go?

Production Privée's Steel-Framed Shan N°5 - Review
Having some flex in the frame is great, glad that more guys seem to incorporate that in their frames. Hope the stiffer is better ages are coming to an end. It's just weird that with carbon mtb frames this is almost never a topic? Carbon would be the perfect material to fine tune flex. With road bikes this is a big thing, bring it to the mountain as well! Takes more know-how though to determine where it helps and where it hurts (and how to build it into the frame) and a more differentiated marketing approach. Might be asking too much...

Pole Bicycles Announces New CNC-Machined 'Machine' - Press Release
Does anyone else feel a bit like in the nineties? All sorts of fancy, special things coming out :) Not sure I'm sold on too many of those ideas (maybe lessons learnt in the nineties), but sure it's interesting!

Poll - How Clean is EWS Racing?
Doping sure is interesting, who wouldn't love to be fitter and quicker? What's speaking against it for me is that once you're on it, it sure is hard to get off of it again mentally. It's like riding an e-bike: get off of one and on a normal bike and all over sudden you feel real sluggish. Not to speak of health issues that might come up later...

Tough Conditions on a Tough Track - Red Bull Hardline 2017 Highlights
What a crappy Video. If they really want / need to make it so short (although I don't see the point other than saving money), they shouldn't fill the first half with intro content. Now you barely see each rider for some brief seconds. I'm sure there would be plenty more footage worthy of the label “highlight“...
