Press Release: O'NEAL

As the seasons shift from Summer to Fall for many of our riders the weather can be unpredictable – warm with clear blue skies one day; colder and even raining the next. As the first of our 2021 collection starts to land we’ve got both outcomes covered…Summer, Fall and even Winter riding…for the trails, bike parks or even racing as events start to open up again finally in many places.

2 exciting new developments for 2021 the PUMPS and SENDER PRO both answering questions we ve had from our riders over the last couple of years.

2 exciting new developments for 2021 the PUMPS and SENDER PRO both answering questions we ve had from our riders over the last couple of years With the PUMPS Shoe we bring a shoe that is as technically competent as any other flat shoe in the range but with more casual styling can be worn all day with jeans making a true one-stop solution for not only your riding shoe needs but possibly all your shoe needs The SENDER PRO Shoe brings our micro-adjust ratchet lacing system to a flat shoe for the first time. We ve often heard riders ask why this lace closure system is often only available on SPD shoes from O NEAL and most other brands yet we see at least as many if not more riders wearing flat shoes compared to SPD these days. The Sender Pro offers all-over protection and the lacing gives the perfect tailored fit and quick-release the perfect all-round race and riding shoe for the serious rider who demands the best.

What's with those detail pictures but not showing the compete pants/jackets? Is that just to improve traffic on their website?
I've been thinking about buying their kit for around two years but something is holding me off.
  • 11 1
Don’t do it. The pants are baggy and thin. (The pro riders get tailored stuff).Jerseys are cheap. I was extremely disappointed with everything I bought from them.
  • 2 0
@Bmontgomery87: got some fox 0ants same deal...baggier than expected.
Very challenging to buy mtb/moto gear.
34 moto(fox) bot close to same as 34mtb for ex.
  • 1 0
@Bmontgomery87: I think I was always hesitant because I've never seen anyone ride in that stuff while you see endura, fox, leatt and ion everywhere.
So... That's where I'll bury my money. Does anyone have experience with the long riding pants feel loose riders though?
  • 1 0
@Bmontgomery87: Which products (name) did you buy exactly and when? I know that the most of the pro riders are wearing their stock gear and help to develop the products. And they are very open for feedback regarding products.
  • 1 0
You’re right. Definitely thought the same. So I went to their website and was surprised: www.oneal.eu/en/bike-2021
  • 2 0
@Bmontgomery87: I agree. We bought a helmet, it's just an open mould copy of a 7iDP, bought a jersey that was not well made or a good material in feel, wicking or durability.
They seem to be buying cheap and just branding up...

They have dialed things in for cycling from where it was 10 years ago. I think back at that time you were crossing moto clothing to much with cycling clothing as the need for body movements between the two are just different.

Honestly, I have used their product for mtb riding years and I think the brand is great. You see at lot of Oneal at the bmx tracks and a ton at the moto tracks.

I would suggest using the size chart to ensure you understand how to order the jerseys as you should for all brands. If you are simply using the jersey to ride or putting body armor under the jersey it may make slight difference. They have a size chart on their website under "Company" for every product type they provide. Hope that helps.

If you sell riding pants and don't include both the waist and inseam measurement, I'll take them but I'm only giving you half of my credit card details.

The Sender Pro looks to have potential. The Boa dial is definitely a step in the right direction but not a huge fan of Velcro strap or orthotics look they have.
  • 5 1
It’s not actually made by Boa, looks to be a knockoff brand, ‘moz’ maybe? I can’t say I feel good about any of it.

I had no idea Payless Shoes was still in business??!!

O'neal is a US company, but much of their MTB equipment is not sold in the US. Extremely odd.
  • 5 1
 So like every Chinese company?
  • 1 0
@motard5: Don't quite understand. Please explain?
  • 5 3
Dont normally say much when i get bad kit but every time i get sucked into the cheap prices of their goods its usually three months of regret the size charts are way off so eveything is nearly two sizes bigger than everyone else and then the stitiching always comes out and the stuff falls apart and im sure the soft knee pads they make are biodegradable usually the porous parts disintegrate way too fast so i dont get the people saying they are good? maybe i ride too much?
  • 1 0
you can never ride too much. the low quality stuff from a hyped up brand may disagree though.

I know that Fox make their trousers in colours other than black. A buddy of mine is wearing the Defend Fire at the moment and they have plenty of room for guards.

It’s not going to be my day.

I've been using the Element motocross gloves for 10+ years, highly recommend, but really not seeing anything in this list that really strikes me as "must have" and it all seems to be EU only.
  • 3 4
I am after some trail trousers at the moment (preferably with a bit of DWR). Why is it that all manufacturers just make black ones? I am really not a fan of black kit. Or alternatively have a sample colour so that I can actually see them and the detail on the website unlike with black ones which you see nothing of.
The other thing is I think I have found one manufacturer so far that states you can wear knee pads underneath.

The legacy pants are available in a nice grey mate ????
  • 4 2
 Because black goes with everything
  • 1 0
I've been loving the fox ranger pants. Pretty slim design but easily fit ixs knee guards underneath. They come in Gray and Beige - I think Lois Vergier was wearing them last season (the beige/brown ones). Not too hot when the temperature is high, and provide nice warmth when it gets cool.

 @DHhack: especially other black clothes.

o neal is not clicking with me. i like more subtle clothing.
  • 3 0
Why USA web site does not have the same products?
  • 3 0
Because Oneal doesn’t understand how to do a product release.
  • 1 0
Thank you for your comment and your interest in O’NEAL. Being a global brand we develop and offer different products in different markets. MTB product development is mainly in Europe and the product range is bigger there vs the U.S. But we recognize the demand in North America and are expanding our cycling product offering each year. You can find the current USA offering at bit.ly/oneal-usa-bike-range and the European at bit.ly/oneal-shop-bike-range
